Everything! This is the best place we’ve stayed in China and the perfect place for international travellers - the staff are great, have decent English, location is perfect near lots of the spots to see in Kunming (local markets, the trendy and developed area etc) plus its close to metro line if you want to go elsewhere. The breakfast is decent and rooms are really comfortable and nice.

The common area/restaurant isn’t heated so can be a bit cold (we stayed in January) but given heating isn’t that common in China that’s certainly no downer.

We had a great time staying at Cloudland. When we booked our stay we did not request the "breakfast included option". We were pleasantly surprised when, during check-in, they upgraded our reservation to include breakfast tickets for each day of our stay! Many of the staff speak English which makes communication much more convenient! The staff was super helpful. We especially appreciated their recommendation to visit the unparalleled Farmer's Market 农贸市场 (Nong Mao Shichang) nearby! It' a gem!

Our room was clean enough, the facilities are maintained reasonably well. However, some of the signage in the facility were a bit outdated, which led to some minor misunderstandings and slight embarrassment on our part. Suggestion: Don't assume all of the signs reflect their current policies

friendly and helpful staff, delicious food options throughout of the whole day and even the option to have fried chicken at 21:30 while watching a movie. the room is comfortable to stay in, air conditioning is powerful and room has a Xiaomi tv which supports play! there is machine to wash your clothes and a dryer, but dryer is not working very well. The people staying in the hostel are nice as well. there are many options to book one day tours at the reception.

1. we had a small incident with the cleaning lady about hygiene but it was solved very quickly by the receptionlady. 2. the shower curtain was a bit short which led to many waterspots in the bathroom 3. dryer not working properly, after running a program of 60min on medium state the simple thin clothes were still wet.

This hostel really surprised me, it was absolutely amazing! My room was comfortable and clean, with some details that I really appreciated - like laundry detergent for hand washing. However, the best thing was the community rooms. I really liked the greenery, the terrace, bar and more - it was a perfect place to relax. Also, the location is great, one can walk to the Daguan park within 30min (or take a bus).

The personal is very fast and effective. If you are an international traveler, you wont have any problem because the personal speaks english very well and wants to help you. The places are super clean and respect the rules very well so there is no noises after 23 hours. Also they give me sleepers, towells and every day 1 new bottle of water in my bed. Thank you!

The shared indoor and outdoor areas are very cute and nicely decorated. The food and coffee was good and reasonably priced. The double room had a big bed and the dorm bed was comfy and felt private enough. The double room had AC/heating and the dorm beds have heated blankets and a privacy curtain.

To get to the shared bathroom you need to walk outside, so its a bit cold in the mornings! It would have been good to have a bit more advice from the staff about sightseeing and how to travel to destinations or organize tours such as to the Stone Forest.

We had a great stay in this hostel, we booked an independent room and we’re extremely happy about it. It was big, comfortable bed and good shower. The downstairs area is very cosy with cute café and pool table + ping pong table. Staff was really nice and accommodating.

Internet not very good and smelled of smoke inside our room because the guest next door was smoking all day & night long.

Super clean hostel, especially the shared bathrooms and showers. Staff is friendly and welcoming, atmosphere is great and the local kitchen/bar is very convenient is someone wants to eat, drink or chill without going out.

Staff's English speaking level was not great for an international hostel, but still enough for basic comprehension and instructions.

We had the twin room, the room facilities, comfort of the bed, cleanliness and the whole experience was just excellent. The rest of the hostel was beautifully decorated, and the staff were very helpful and kind to the point where they let us use the shower and borrow towels the next day after we have checked out.

Clean facilities, great people, excellent atmosphere. People do speak English here. It's everything you'd expect from an international youth hostel. They also help you to arrange day trips. I went to Shilling and to Jiuxiang Caves, both excellent locations.

There isn't really anything to mention here. It's a great location.
