Our stay at the lodge was truly exceptional. Our host, Frankie, was outstanding in every way. He was always available and on hand to help whenever we had any questions, proving himself to be incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. Frankie went above and beyond, organizing all of our transportation for our excursions at very reasonable prices. Prior to each outing, he took the time to thoroughly explain the day's route and provided us with both written and verbal guidance. This made it incredibly easy for us to navigate the national park and day trips by ourselves. The lodge itself was absolutely stunning, featuring an amazing pool and excellent food. During our stay, there was an unavoidable local funeral with some loud music, but Frankie was so kind and considerate to proactively move us to an upgraded room further away from the noise. While we were happy with our initial room, the upgraded accommodations were simply unbelievable, and we felt incredibly fortunate. We cannot thank Frankie and the entire staff at the lodge enough for making our stay so exceptional. Frankie's exceptional hosting truly elevated our experience, and we would wholeheartedly recommend staying at this lodge to anyone visiting the area.

It was a fantastic stay here. The Lodge is in a very good shape and also the place is unbelievable. It is about a complimentary 5 minute drive to the West Entrance of the Zhangjiajie National Park. There a 2 Pools, one is a Infinity Pool with a spectacular View especially at the sunset. Also the meals and breakfast are delicious, Chinese at its best. And then there is the staff at this Lodge, everybody is very friendly. There are two guys, Rain and Franky who speak very good English and can help in any question you have about the Nationalpark, about the Lodge and Transfers( also to the Airport) and so on. I highly recommend this Lodge!

Staying in No.5 Lodge was a great experience for us. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They did all possible for our comfort staying. Our room was very clean and cozy and in fact turned out to be better than in the photos. The view from the terrace was breathtaking. We were impressed with the atmosphere of hospitality and cordiality of the place. Special thanks to the hotel manager Frankie. He did all possible to make us feel at home and greatly helped us with all tickets to the National park, routes around and other our travel arrangements. Each member of the hotel team tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Free transfer to the park and back upon request was a nice bonus to the stating. We also liked very much the hotel restaurant. The choice and quality were at high level. After dinner we enjoyed some wine at bar relaxing after long walks. If you get tired from tracking you can stay for a master class or for a tea ceremony. We opted for the latter and enjoyed the traditional Chinese tea made by the very interesting and charismatic tea master. She explained some traditions and showed how to prepare different sorts of tea. Of course we bought some to try to repeat at home :) And if you show sincere interest maybe you will get a nice cat ;)

The whole environment is very cozy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is also amazingly beautiful. The restaurant is very nice serves delicious breakfast. Though the traffic is a lil bit inconvenient and nothing but the resort around here. But still very enjoy the time only spending here. And no need to worry if there’s no restaurant around here cause the restaurant inside also serves dinner that you can order by your own and everything is delicious! View here is also amazing. would be so nice to visit again.+++ there are so many lovely cats here which is like heaven :)

The property is lovely! It has rice fields, lovely views and amazing food! And the staff is super friendly. Frankie made things very easy and enjoyable for us. He personally drove us to the park and recommended the route to follow for 2 days. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in Zhangjiajie.

We really loved it there, just for people to be aware, as expected from the natural surroundings, there were a lot of insects. Nothing major but be sure to bring some insect repellent. If you are a light sleeper, might as well bring something for the noise and early sunlight.

The Valley Lodge is a super recovery spot after long days of nature and hiking. They gave us an upgrade to a better room with bathtub on the balcony - which was super cool! Rain always welcomed us at the entrance and helped us with booking tickets for the scenic areas and shuttles. The service was excellent! Also all the other staff was super friendly and attentive. In the evening they sang some Zhangjiajie Folksongs specially just for us. We loved it there and didn‘t want to go - you should stay there for at least 4-5 days to have enough time for the national park, mountains and enjoying the hotel! The food was also really good, especially the hot pot. They also gave us a little tea tasting and you can join some group events in the morning no matter if it is off-season or season time. The view from their heated infinitiy pool was breathtaking and you can easily recharge your energy there. The valley lodge is very close to the entrance for experience the Avatar Hallelujah Mountains and is less crowded than other entrance. We were tthere without a guide and could find everything very easy. Rain brought us directly there and helped us translating at the ticket counter. All over was it one of my best experience there in Zhangjiajie and you will never forget the great service and the breathtaking, amazing views of the national forest. (In 4 days we saw: Avatar Hallelujah Mountains, Tianzi Mountain, Tianmen Mountain, Baofeng Lake and the Glass Bridge)

After the bustling cities, I foung myself in paradise. It's the perfect place to exhale and relax, and also, of course, to explore the national nature park. But besides the proximity to the park, the hotel itself owns a large and beautiful area where you can stroll in the evening. The view of the valley is simply marvellous! The room with lotus pond view is quiet, spacious and comfortable, with everything you need and even a tea set with local meicha tea. You can hardly see or hear the neighbours. The people working at this hotel do everything they can to make guests feel welcome and comfortable, excellent level of customer care. Two guys with excellent English will help with any little things, organise a trip to the park, and answer any questions. I will definitely come back here again with my family.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Valley 5 Lodge, and my experience was nothing short of magical. From the warm welcome by Rain, the exceptional staff member, to the cozy family suite and the array of activities, every moment surpassed my expectations. Rain's professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine warmth set the tone for our stay. The pride Valley 5 Lodge takes in providing outstanding service is evident, and any queries or requests were met with a smile, making us feel truly valued. They planned our itinerary for the visits to the park and were absolutely helpful in suggesting other activities. Our family of 4 stayed in the Family Suite, a spacious and tastefully decorated haven. The heated floors and hot bath were perfect for the winter season, and the nightly fireplace setup added a beautifully cozy touch to our evenings. The daily activities provided by Valley 5 Lodge were a highlight. From a delightful local candy-making session to arts and crafts for the kids, there was something for everyone. Our children had a blast, and the best part was they got to bring home their creations. The lodge's location on the hills offered a breathtaking view of the Valley, a picturesque sight that greeted us each morning at breakfast. Speaking of which, while the breakfast was simple, it was more than adequate, and the stunning backdrop made every meal special. In conclusion, I highly recommend Valley 5 Lodge for a memorable and enjoyable stay. I'm already looking forward to returning, perhaps during the summer season, to experience the exceptional hospitality once again. We had a very good and memorable experience here! The hotel staff went above and beyond to help me plan a marriage proposal in their facilities. This place was perfectly romantic with the view of the mountains and the tranquility of the area. We used their bubble bath (very relaxing) and really enjoyed our room with view of the mountains. We had more tea than we could’ve hoped for from their amazing and super kind tea master. We also used their shuttle service to the national park entrance and got ideas for an itinerary, that was very convenient. Oh, and our room had floor heating which was very comfortable and nice. Definitely coming back and recommend it, either as a base to come back to after seeing Zhangjiajie’s marvels or even just to stay in the hotel and enjoy the peace of the mountains!

The location is beautiful. I love how it is close to nature. Very peaceful surrounding. And close proximity to the Zhangjiajie National Park. Service was first class. Rain & Frankie always responded promptly to our requests. They also helped with our tour plan and entrance tickets. Food was delicious and freshly prepared. We also enjoyed the tea tasting at the resort and the high quality flower tea available there.

None! Though if you have difficult walking and climbing it may be an issue walking around the resort.
