Our room was perfect for two people. We could walk to a number of good restaurants at night with enough lighting to only need a small flashlight. We felt very safe. The family run lodge went out of their way to make our stay pleasant by helping with driving directions and booking tours and recommendations. The complimentary breakfast is typical Costa Rican with delicious fresh fruit. You can walk to the butterfly garden AND the hammock garden nearby, yet the lodge feels secluded. We LOVED the ease of driving ourselves to Monteverde and Santa Elena Cloud forests, zip lines, the town for banking and shopping, and more.

The family owned property was welcoming, very helpful, close walking distance to restaurants and shops, yet surrounded by trees and wildlife wandering by. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very fresh and delicious, not a buffet but service at tables with the eggs cooked to our choice. On our trip we stayed at 4 locations and this was by far our favorite, even beating out a luxury resort The Parador. The friendliness, cleanliness and hospitality cant be beat.

In February it was very windy and cooler than expected. It could have used a heater to take away the chill from our walk to dinner. But, the hot bath and warm bedding took care of that quickly.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Sweet little family owned hotel. They take great pride in the property and service. Breakfast included. Short walk to the main shopping and dining area. Great recommendations and bookings for all of our adventures. Small, simple, but clean room but we didn’t mind as we were out most of the day.

Hot water ran out in the mornings. A bit more storage area in the rooms to stow our belongings. Some road noise and quite dusty from the road nearby

Location is ideal for getting around Monteverde with a short walk into town (15 mins). The staff are really helpful and incredibly friendly. Breakfast is normally a plate of fruit to start followed by a version of eggs, differing each day and is perfect. We got a visit from a group of monkeys during breakfast one morning which just made our whole experience at Dream Lodge.

The rooms are quite dated and not huge but for those who will be out for the majority of day, exploring Monteverde it is the perfect place to rest your head and get a good breakfast to start your day.

Quiet, with a lot of fauna and birds around the property. Tonney and his staff couldn't have been nicer!! Outstanding breakfast (he won't let you leave until you have his pancakes in the morning!! :) ) Food recommendations in town: The Tree House restaurant - Restaurant built around a large, living ficus tree!! Maybe a little "toursty" but good food, and neat atmosphere!! Gustico's - Excellent local, family-owned restaurant on the main road in Monteverde. Super nice family, and excellent food!!

Rooms are a little small. Bathroom, including shower, was less than 2 meters square. Small road to the side of the property could be a little noisy with motorcycles going by occasionally, but it really wasn't bad.

Check-in was super easy and staff was very kind with recommendations for things to do around town. Breakfast was made fresh in the morning and that was a great touch. Location is very convenient for activities in and around Santa Elena like cloud forest hikes, night walks, and coffee tours. Showers were strong and hot.

There was no A/C in our room so if it's hot it can get toasty in the rooms during the day, but at night with the windows open it was pretty cool, but one of our windows didn't have a screen so we could only open one.

Visited as a family in Mid August. We felt very safe and very comfortable. The staff was amazing and had some wonderful recommendations for activities. The location is nice with some good possibilities for family hikes in walking distance. Everything met our expectations and for us, the Dreams Lodge was a perfect accommodation to explore Monteverde. We even had some lovely wildlife encounters right in front of our balcony.

Location, quiet, just outside town of Montverde. Clean lodge with comfortable rooms, having privacy. Lovely bird noises outside. Ecological preserve with night tour within walking distance as well as several restaurants. Offered a laundry service which was great. Free breakfast was filling and delicious.

Was quite a walk into town, but could have taken a taxi or driven in 5 min. Too many covers on the beds but they were comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dreams Lodge. Great location in a quiet area with backyard with many trees; private and peaceful. A toucan flew into the tree as we were sitting at the outdoor table and chairs; great for bird watching! We didn't see the monkeys, but we were there only one day. Location is great, about a 10 minutes walk to Santa Elena, first part of the walk is a dirt road, but that was fine, only for a short distance. Several options of restaurants nearby, walking distance. Staff was great, so friendly and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. The hotel room is cozy, simple but very comfortable and had everything we needed. I truly recommend this hotel. The best part was listening to all the birds wake up in the morning, I felt I was in the middle of the jungle, dreamy and special!

Everything was great about our stay.

The breakfast was very nice fresh plate of fruit every day and staff very friendly.

The only problem was the electrical power went out for a few hours around 6.00pm to 9.30 pm they had no electrical back up example flashlight even the main entrance no light front desk used his cell phone for light there was a candle in the room but no matches when asked they should maybe have some solar light around they are not that expensive. The place is really DARK AT NIGHT!! Other then this the place is beautiful very clean and comfortable. will come back for sure.
