This was a stop on a long road trip, and it exceeded our expectations. The room was very comfortable, and spacious. Although we didn't ask for one, they put us in a handicapped-accessible room, so we know that those are available. The amenities were good and everything worked well, including the wi-fi. The staff were nice and accommodating. The parking felt secure, which was important to us, as we had a loaded car. The restaurant serves a good breakfast off a menu, and has excellent foor for other meals. There are some walking trails on the property, as well as other associated activities available. This is a really nicely done place.

The room was clean, with a very big bathroom. The property had a pool and forest of its own where we walked both in the late afternoon and in the morning. We saw monkeys, butterflies, owls, birds, lizards, iguanas during our stay. My mother-in-law who loves nature and creatures especially enjoyed them. All the staff were super helpful and friendly. The food was also very good.

We took a national park tour with the company that that hotel contracted with. The tour itself was good, in a sense that we got to see many animals, but I felt that it could have been better with other companies. Our group was bigger than groups run by other companies, and other guides seemed to tell more stories than ours did.

We loved the staff, especially at breakfast. Also the evening bar/dining manager - he was amazing!!! We also loved the activities guys and shuttle driver - they were very helpful. The area and garden/grounds were beautiful, we saw some amazing animals, and the pool was also very nice. Loved the art in the rooms.

The shuttle opportunities were limited, and we were not told that we would need to notify them long before those limited hours to even use it at all. We had understood they would always be available at those certain, limited hours. We would absolutely recommend bringing your own rental car in order to get the most out of your stay in Costa Rica. We did not see as many animals as we thought we would from the location description.

The gardens are gorgeous. Loved that behind the hotel there is a big forest with zipline and you can see many monkeys the bungalow was in very good shape, and beds very comfortable, the house have everything you need. The setting and the pool is very beautiful , there are many butterflies in the garden, great to walk through. Very well maintained.

The Breakfast Buffet was ok. The fruit no so fresh Pinaplles a bit brown. Not always food to my liking. I would have preferred personal service. And be able to choose from 3 different kinds of breakfast. 1. traditional costa rican 2. Continental with bread and omelet 3. Pancakes with fruit that is fresh The staff was professional and a bit distant but I did miss some warm kindness at the reception.

The Resort is beautiful, with a gorgeous garden (saw a tucan and apes there) and a very nice pool. The breakfast was good (one can choose and eat as much as one likes). The staff very friendly. Our room was spacious (especially the bathroom which had a shower equipped with a shower head you can hold in your hand - the only one I saw in Costa Rica - and organic soap, body lotion and shampoo smelling amazing). The big window had a mosquito net. The resort is a 30 minutes drive from the entrance to the national park (get your tickets in advance online, be there as early as possible and use the private parking space closest to it!).

Our room had a big window but as it was facing the walkway we had to close the curtains a lot for privacy (which made the room rather dark). It’s a pity that the windows in the bathroom can’t be opened (and have no mosquito net) as we would have loved to let some draft do a little cooling instead of the AC. As mentioned in some other reviews, the resort is next to the street and you can hear it. I personally slept fine with my ear plugs in.

We got essentially a small home and it was wonderful! We had everything we could possibly need in all the rooms and it was both spacious and comfortable throughout. Their A/C worked magic too. The bedroom got cold quickly. We enjoyed their breakfast selection too.

As others have mentioned, the road noise is quite loud, even with all the windows closed. I noticed it in the middle of the night as well as during the day, but could still sleep through most nights. If you're like my husband though, you'll need ear plugs to sleep. He wouldn't have made it without them.

La Foresta was a beautiful place to stay! We e saw so much wildlife and loved the trails out back of the hotel. We say monkeys and toucans from our breakfast table! Staff were very friendly and food was delish!! We stayed in the two bedroom villa and it was wonderful to have the kitchen and small deck area. they also run a shuttle to the National park and beach throughout the day. This is super convenient!

road was a little noisy

The gardens around the facility are beautiful with lots of wildlife like iguanas, butterflies and humming birds. The free nature walk was incredible, we saw lots of animals but could do with clearer signs about the route. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The beds are very comfortable. Would highly recommend.

The pool is actually really warm which sounds pathetic but that’s my only downside to this place.

Amazing setting, right in the jungle. We loved eating all of our meals outsiders, watching and listening to all the birds. the kids LOVED the pool area. Our little house we stayed in was super beautiful (we loved the front porch) and very very clean. plus having AC was a lifesaver!!!

Helpful, friendly yet professional staff. Good menu, delicious food including breakfast, and large portions. Lovely pool. Large comfortable beds. Spacious room. Very clean. Drying rack on patio is very handy. Lush surroundings. Child friendly. Fantastic canopy tour, thank you!

One person serving the breakfast buffet, could do with 2 people to prevent queues. Similarly only one member of staff serving happy hour at the bar and pool.
