The hotel was small and perfectly formed. The staff were very friendly, Rodrigo and the barman (Tiku??) went above and beyond and did everything they could to help us. I asked to change room, no problem, Rodrigo helped with my SIM card, great explanation of where to go in town, Tiku entertained us with cocktails, they were fabulous. The room was very clean and quiet. Good value for the level of service and comfort and the owner was a regular presence and very welcoming. Great location to be able to pop back to after a day wandering in town.

The fourth floor room felt a bit smaller but they moved us to the third which was perfect. Quite normal though, old buildings get a bit a bit tight at the top. We were just spoilt. Breakfast menu was a little sparse for the price, great view though.

Brilliant location in the Old Town just yards from where you want to be. No noise issues. Duty Manager was excellent - very courteous and helpful. Other staff were all excellent professionals. Nice cosy bar for a drink/coffee. Breakfast on the roof terrace was perfect.

No tea/coffee facility in the room

Great location within the city walls meant we could avoid the worst of the crowds. It was wonderful to walk in the quiet city early morning to find a cafe for breakfast. Staff are extremely charming, helpful and efficient. The room was quiet

Booking.com do not show that there is no lift. Having a room on the 4th floor was a work out. It should be flagged up for those who can't manage so many stairs. Breakfast was 29 euros which even in Dubrovnik is pricey so we enjoyed the local cafes.

Being inside of old town Dubrovnik, within the city walls, the location of the hotel is hands down the best feature. It allows for early morning walks within the city before the mad cruise line rush and for those late nights out.

Hotel is 3.5-4 stars since there is a lack of customer service. Greeting upon arrival was cold and unwelcoming. Reception could have provided map of old town with recommendations like some of our other stays did. Minibar costs added another 30 euros per night and there was no mention of costs. Our fault for thinking it was included but wouldn't be unthinkable when paying $500 euros a night. Expect top notch customer service when paying so much for a hotel and was disappointed.

Pet friendly, location

The cost is too high against what you get… (room usd500, dinner min 300 (only set menu available) and on top, parking almost 100usd few hundred meters away) This is what you pay for downtown Centre Dubrovnik in the peak season… understood. The worst was however that the hotel doesn’t serve Croatian wine, beer or even Croatian water!!! This is just ridiculous and should be checked and forbidden… Hence the rating.

Breakfast was superb. Plenty of choice. The eggs florentine was specifically very good. Breakfast was served on the rooftop terrace with fabulous views over old town Dubrovnik. The staff were friendly and exceptionaL at their job.

I am sorry but there is absolutely nothing that could have been improved on. From the taxi drop off with staff that met us to take our cases to organising a packed breakfast when we left for a trip, I cannot fault anything.

Location was excellent, and the price was expensive - but we knew that when we booked within the city walls. Room was comfortable enough, but not large. If you are happy or able to take the cost it is a great choice, but there is other available at less price outside the city walls.

A shame that the only breakfast on offer was very expensive, although on a rooftop with fabulous views. Not a real problem as there were plenty on offer minutes away.

A beautifully converted 16th century house. The view from the rooftop terrace restaurant is stunning. Room was very clean. Fantastic location in Old Town. Staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Would have liked tea and coffee facilities in the room.

Ideal location in the old town. Historic house sensitively modernised to a boutique hotel of the highest standards. Extremely comfortable and well-equipped room and bathroom, furnished and decorated with every attention to detail. Every member of staff from reception, waiting staff and cleaners, was most welcoming and helpful. Dinner in the Above Five rooftop restaurant was superb and an experience to be remembered for a long time. Breakfast was equally excellent, as was the service.

Nothing - everything was top-class. Not a problem for me but people with mobility issues may find access to upper floors difficult as no lift.

Location once you're there is great, room is fairly quiet though can hear people going up/down the stairs.

Getting walking directions in advance or offerring to be met at one of the gates when the reservation is confirmed would be helpful. We finally called the hotel to get help finding it and they sent help for luggage as well. Lack of elevator with suitcases, though help was offered. Lack of outlet near the bed.
