Well, the location is not bad, but then most of rooms are located "backwards". The place is kept nice and tidy. Even the house keeper was bumping in twice trying to clean the room on the departure date.... rather early.

We booked one of the rooms with sea view towards town and the harbour, no balcony... but did not get that. Instead 2 pool view rooms with very very limited sea view. The other was the tv channels..... croatian and german only. Did not like that. The coffee at breakfast was un-drinkable, and there were no vegetables on the buffet.

View was limited because it was on the backside, swimming pool. Location was very nice. It allowed to visit many places on foot.

We had a confrontation upon arrival with a lady at the reception desk. The reason was that my friend, who has a serious knee injury asked for a shower different to the one in his bathroom, which was a bathtub. The receptionist had only a categorically NO. What upset my friend for good reasons. We finally obtained what my friend needed, but he told the lady; in her business there doesn't exist the word NO nor Not Possible.

The location of this hotel is perfect. Our room had a wonderful view of the harbour and a wonderful view of the beach to the side of the hotel. The staff are wonderful, special mention to the lovely cleaning ladies, the reception staff (especially Renata), the happy and friendly breakfast staff, the chefs who make wonderful omlettes and the lovely waiter at lunchtime in the restaurant (the salads are so tasty). It is easy to walk round the harbour and up to the old town where there are many lovely restaurants (the hotel will recommend). We took the catamaran to Bol one day and went to the Golden Horn beach. We were given a kettle to use in the room. The hotel is not too big and very clean. We didn't use the pool as loved swimming in the sea. Would highly recommend.

We would have liked a shower, although the bath did have a spray. You can on some nights hear some music from the club on the beach from 11.00pm to 3.00 am but we had read this and took good earplugs so it didn't bother us. Likewise, there are sometimes loud party boats in the harbour but didn't mind, nice to hear people having fun. Would recommend the hotel

The hotel was in a prime spot right on the edge of the harbour. We were in a top floor room and the view from the window was amazing! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very modern with a frosted glass door. Unfortunately we were hit with a huge hours-long thunderstorm which curtailed our planned beach trip and exploration of the town. Breakfast in the morning was rather chaotic as the outside breakfast area with the wonderful view was out of bounds (as I was told in a rather harsh way by one of the two lady wait staff when I tried to go outside). We then had to find our own way to a space on a large circular table which looked more suitable for use in a wedding venue. And then had to find our own cutlery and work out how to access breakfast. Maybe they were just having a bad day but it didn't make you feel like a valued guest. Ah well!

Good location in Makarska- close to the town but just far enough away to avoid the crowds. The room was quiet and well appointed. Very clean, good AC. Breakfast buffet was pretty good, and the staff was friendly.

The pool is nice but a bit on the small side and was crowded when we got down there. But we did find a place to sit and the water was nice. They have a large ferris wheel set up in part of the parking lot for the summer so that complicated the parking just a bit.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Hotel Osejava. It's location is exceptional. A short stroll into town and views across the harbour. The staff are friendly and helpful, waitrons charming. The breakfast restaurant location is very pleasing, and the outdoor dinner terrace is beautiful. Good value for money. I highly recommend Hotel Osejava.

Not the hotel's fault, but the rowdy Sail-week Croatia crews are quite noisy when berthed in the Harbour.

One of the most magical locations I have ever encountered. A stunning bay on the Adriatic at the foot of Biokova mountain. The mountain is as beautiful as Yosemite. Hotel Osejava is at the peaceful end of the bay with a beach a few steps from the lobby. The views of the Adriatic, the town of Makarska, the marina and of course Biokova mountain are incredible. The sunsets are awesome. The hotel is beautifully renovated, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff is delightful, knowledgeable and helpful. I have stayed twice and recommend it highly.

The best location in Makarska, possibly the best hotel either. Spacious room, comfortable bathroom, good beds, professional staff. Amazing view from the seaview rooms. We would recommend it and stay there again if we come back to Makarska.

We forgot something in the hotel room at departure and were told it was thrown away. Since it was an expensive item I would have expected a different approach towards the guests. We used the breakfast only twice, on the first and last day. It was not our cup of tea but we are not big on breakfast anyway. The waiting time in the sushi restaurant the first night was longer than an hour and they seemed really stressed. Just a tip for everyone going to Makarska, forget about renting a car, take a scooter, the traffic can ruin the vacation.

Lovely staff, wonderful restaurants, the view out to sea from room 305 was terrific, the old town is close to great restaurants and your own little (busy) beach.

Why are people allowed to put their towels out at breakfast and still not be on the sun lounger at lunchtime? This needs to be better policed as the pool area is small. The nightclub THE DEEP, which is next door, pumps out bass until 5am, beware if you are on the sea side of the hotel. The lovely receptionist did give us ear plugs though.

Beautiful hotel on the edge of Markarska Port, with nice views back over the port and the mountain especially from the restaurants and breakfast areas. The staff were friendly and helpful, it is right next to a small beach and Deep Cave Night Club which is also pretty unique.

The location of the pool is hidden away with no views of anything and it is very small. It is a far walking distance to the other side of Markarska where the nice beaches are, but if you want to get the steps in... its a nice walk to do :)
