We just left the resort, it was a great experience. Positifs points : - very beautiful place - EVERYTHING IS INCLUDED - many activities - différents restaurants in the same place - quality of the food - in front of the sea

Negatives points: - it’s not adapted for couple vacancy, there is too many child … (noising, vomiting, diaper etc..) but when we will have children, we will know where to go ! - bed sun reservation… you are the law in your hostel, you should verify that your rules are respected. Too many times, the bed sun next to us was empty. - SPA : you should have a really accès to the spa for adult with jacuzzi, sauna, hammam etc

Creta Maris is an amazing all inclusive resort. The rooms are comfortable and food is great. It feels like a small village and lots to explore. I loved that there are different restaurants to go fo each night it really makes the experience fun and more luxurious. Staff is super nice and accommodating.

The pool area almost has no shaded areas, just a sun umbrella isnt enough, they are small and hard to move when sun moves. I wish there were more shaded huts, roofed areas, larger sun umbrellas, or something else that helps increase the shade for those who want to sit by the pool but not burn in the sun. Also pools were very very cold.

The resort has been updated in the past year and it looks fantastic! The overall experience at Creta Maris is everything you hope for in a 5 star hotel. Very pleasant helpful staff, great food, fantastic amenities and just an overall feeling that all is being taken care of. My daughter has a severe nut allergy and all staff were very attentive and considerate about any food related concerns and she felt very safe and comfortable with her food choices as everything is labelled and the staff offered many times to make her special dishes but it was not necessary as all foods were very well prepared and managed. It was our second year and our favourite memories are there. Costas and George in particular made the trip from just fun to fantastic. The games and sports offered for children and adults help to form friendships with other families very quickly and helped to entertain and encourage all children to keep active and to have tons of fun. Costas and George, we really have special thanks to you both for bringing smiles to our faces every day.

The location outside the resort is less desirable.

- all inclusive is actual all inclusive with almost no exceptions and exceptions are marked with asterisk upfront, no hidden costs - multiple included a la carte restaurants - delicious food - proper and strong alch coctails - smart app for restaurant booking and schedule - live performances every week - proper A/C - amazing fresh smoothies during all day - pool aerobic - spacious private parking

- typical 5star plague of sunbed reservation from 8am, please fix this! - for dinner buffet you have to order free but quite limited drinks from waiters who are too busy - poor basketball rim with the height of 2m (basically for children) - all restaurants are Greek cuisine, please get Italian, Mexican, Sushi

Room was really nice, facilities good and location is out of the way not noisy at all. Hotel extends to the beach and you can enjoy a drink while you are seated on a sun-bed free.

even though there are 5 restaurants, food not at the standard that I would expect for this type of hotel. I am gluten intolerant and I have seen 4 star hotels have a choice of 5 meals for GF people. I saw a few signs but was not easy to identify GF food and they can do much better on this. I read a review that a chef was looking after someone with gluten intolerance but I believe everyone should have the choice to find a few gluten free meals at the buffet. The free WiFi kept cutting off every few minutes.

If you’re in Crete this is your most definite stop We absolutely loved everything about Creta Maris , specially that in the middle of August Chaos they’ve got so many pools all around te property that you can always find a quiet one just to chill , special thanks to two Dimitri’s at the reception who went above and beyond to find our family a connecting room and with our other never ending requests and kids club activities were outstanding even for our 11 years old there was always something to do in the mini club, food all over the a la cart restaurants are amazing specially Mademi and gosh the view ! Staff are extremely professional and helpful we are definitely coming back next summer !

Just that beds are either too soft or too tough

Magnificent resort, rooms and beds of big size, all pools very nice, all very clean, staff super friendly (they wear very nice uniforms), waterpark funny, food and drinks available all the time since they have snack points when restaurants are closed, extraordinary food quality both in buffet and a la carte restaurants. They offer towels to use at the pools or beach and exchange them for clean ones. Worth every bit of it. It takes 30-40 minutes by car to get to Iraklion

Extremelly unconfortable pillows since one is too thin and two are too thick. Amenities are still in small bottles which is disappearing in green conscious hotels, prepare yourself for having to live without coffee, order tea and you will not regret it. Coffee is very bad, period. They should really prepare some smoking areas since now people can smoke in all open areas and having your children play with adults smoking around is very annoying. Let the smokers get their lungs full of nicotine far from our children

We stayed at the hotel for a couple's vacation in mid-June. It was one of our perfect vacations. The amazing service, the varied food, the rich bars, beautiful pools and a fun beach. An excellent yoga class every day and lots of other activities that we didn't have time to get to everything. Dimitris from the reception, welcomed us when we arrived and immediately gave us a room (hours before check-in time) and throughout the entire vacation he and the staff members (literally everyone) were kind and ready for any help. The room we asked for and received was in the bungalows, it was cute and quiet and provided everything we needed. When we asked for a late departure due to an evening flight, we were happy to find that they are prepared for this case with Showers, changing rooms and lockers, and keep the customers under the definition of “all inclusive” until the moment of their departure. Highly recommended.

lots of space and activities, youth/entertainment staff go above and beyond to get to know guests and are great with the kids! Rooms are very clean and the food is BRILLIANT!

reception staff are very very rude. check in was slow and they ignore you/do not smile very much. one man in particular tried to charge us over 400 euros to extend our room for a few hours at checkout… thankfully we complained about this but given the position and the impression you give being a receptionist; I would focus on the staff training/customer service here - other guests had also told us how shocked they were at the service on reception
