We enjoyed staying at the Prinsen Hotel in Aalborg. We appreciated the warm welcome we received at reception, and helpful information about what there is to see in Aalborg - historic streets contrasting with modern buildings such as the House of Music (2014) and the Utzon Centre (opened 2008) the last building designed by Jørn Utzon the architect behind the Sydney Opera House. Our room overlooked the car park at the back - we were happy with this - and was lovely and quiet. The hotel has a main entrance at the front (3 minutes walk from the railway station) and also has a back entrance on to the car park - making it an even shorter walk into the centre of Aalborg. Our room was very clean.  We were catching a train at 750am and had plenty of time to get to the station after a good breakfast.

There’s nothing I like more than an old fashioned that’s not under those big chains! Service here is exceptional. All the staff that I’ve met take pride in their work. Love it that the room and bathroom are big enough to feel comfortable. I can even roll out my yoga mat in the room! Kettle and cups are available in the room. It is only a 2 min walk from the train station and 5 mins away from the central. Room is kept clean daily with beds made properly. Grateful for the breakfast included that has scrambled eggs and a variety of cold cuts.

Good location just across from the train station and a short walk away from other attractions. Welcoming reception staff. Maps available and recommendations given. Tidy communal areas. Quite functional in appearance, rather than cosy per se, but my room was clean and of a good size and condition. Not all the TV channels worked but this was only a small issue. Good lighting in both bedroom and bathroom. Plug socket next to the bed for easy charging in this room. Breakfast was nice although lacked in hot food options, in terms of my own preference. It included yoghurt, cereals and other toppings, ham/turkey slices, cheese, salad, soft boiled eggs, bread and rolls, fruit (sliced melon and pineapple, apples, oranges etc), concentrated juices and a hot drinks machine (my first hot chocolate at breakfast after spending a week in Denmark!).

Not the strongest or hottest shower I've ever used. I also don't like shower curtains (who does?!) but this one wasn't too bad/clingy and I know that other options e.g. a door take longer to clean...

Very nicely situated hotel by the train station. The room and the beds were really comfortable and clean. Kemal & Alice were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast buffet had everything I could ask for and it was exquisite and delicious. I definitely would recommend this place during a trip to Aalborg. Room amenities were quite satisfactory.

The sink drain was clogged but it did not cause any major inconvenience. Bathroom amenities could be better.

Very hospitable gentleman on reception at check in, amazing breakfast buffet, and fantastic location on the fringes of old town. A perfect place for exploring the best attractions of Aalborg on foot, with plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and public transport options nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Aalborg and hope to visit again one day!

perfect location, near railway station, downtown, markets, restaurants,etc.. Friendly staff, ready to help you ( especially Kemil). Very, rich breakfast, with everything. The room is small but well arranged with everything you need, very clean (every day cleaning), comfy beds.

pillow not so comfortable

The hotel manager when I checked in offered me great advice of where to go and what to do, so I was very impressed. This hotel is literally a two minute walk from the public transport, there is also parking on site and EV vehicle charging station. Very quiet.

Room rather small and basic - but we knew it would be small Building work outside rather noisy - if hotel not full they could have given us a room at the back

Very friendly and helping staff at the reception. The bathroom in the single room was quite big. Since the windows were facing backyard the room was quiet. Breakfast was good.

The small double room is rather small, especially the bathroom size. Additionally, since the room windows were facing the street it was not possible to keep them open due to the noise and, thus, the air can turn thick.

Everything. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We will definitely stay here again and recommend anyone else to. Location near to railway station ideal for us but also a short walk to cafes, restaurants, sites and waterfront.
