An absolutely outstanding piece of architecture. Fabulous balcony rooms and classical Danish interiors - if i could i would live in this hotel permanently. Location is quite and beautiful. The city square is quant and full of character. The deer park is a pleasure to walk through and the men at sea statues and marine museum wonderful. Area around the hotel is very quiet with two bars that have a through back to the 1980s vibe. We caught a train direct from Copenhagen to Esbjerg - lovely comfortable journey.

it was really quiet. Great examples of social housing but didnt realise that much of the population left at a weekend, however, the quietness was actually welcomed after the hustle and bustle of copenhagen

A unique building. We booked a suite and it was very spacious. It had 3 balconies which was cool and the view was great.

For the price we paid, I find it stingy that breakfast wasn't included. On our first morning we left the room before 10:30 and we didn't get the beds made. We were simply told that we had missed it since we didn't leave the room earlier. The next day we had to ask specifically for this service. There is a relatively large kitchen unit, but the coffee machine didn't work, we had to ask for table rags, dish towels, bottle opener. There is no toaster. I had high expectations for such a unique hotel + the price we paid for 3 nights. The room was gorgeous and so was the view, but the the hotel/staff didn't go the extra mile to make us feel welcome/special.

We loved the quirkiness of the building. Breakfast was excellent. Location was good with fine views over the harbour. Room was basic but comfortable and had everything you needed for a short stay with everything conveniently placed (sockets etc) Huge balcony which would have been great if the weather had been good. Free car park right outside the hotel. Fantastic restaurant on the 17th floor, we really enjoyed the set tasting menu.

The only problem, which hopefully is only temporary, was finding the hotel because of roadworks and road closures nearby.

Loved the architecture and design of the building and room. Our room was a bit small and compact but it’s well-designed so all cabinets and drawers are hidden. people on the front desk were very helpful. Hotel is near several bus stops (different lines) and 25 minutes away from the city center by foot. The Plates restaurant at the top floor served decent breakfast and dinner with a nice sunset view by the harbor. I think their rate costs less than other hotels in Denmark.

The room is a bit compact. The shower didn’t have a floor partition to the toilet bowl so the entire floor had a tendency to be all wet.

Cool architecture and great views from the balcony. The optional breakfast on the top floor was great! The room was a good amount of space for a family of three and everything was comfortable.

This hotel is located across town from the train station. It's about a 7 minute walk from a bus stop, and Esbjerg has an excellent bus system; it just took an extra amount of figuring out how to get to the hotel.

Interesting modern architecture of the hotel. The breakfast was very good. The room is not big but cozy. Bedding nice, but poorly lit by dim lights. The bathroom is small and I don't like the curtain instead of the shower screen, but that's probably typical for Denmark. Parking without a problem, but I don't know how it looks on the weekend.

Aesthetically pleasing, yet functional and smart design that is thought through to the very last detail. Stunning view of the city and the harbour. Great breakfast, tables equipped with binoculars so you can watch ferries to Fanø. Little refreshments can be bought at the reception. Check-in and check-out were very smooth, staff friendly with nice personal touch, everything was perfect. Easy 20 minute walk to the city centre, 3 minute drive to the Men by the sea statues.

Parking was busy both nights due to the football match in the nearby stadium and a prom in the gymnasium opposite the hotel.

Bit different. Spacious and comfy room. Quiet - was on the 8th floor. Wifi, hot water, etc all fine. Top floor restaurant and bar are not cheap but high quality stuff + service and of course excellent views. FYI I got there from the station by bus (24 Kr, cash to driver, don't need exact money, can't use credit card).

Bit of noise from the (empty) fridge. It would be kinder to the planet just to switch it off. Yes, the bathroom is very small and wet-room style (common in Denmark).

Great architecture and interior design - it‘s a unique experience staying in a hotel like this, especially in a low-key city like Esbjerg.

If we really had to find something to complain about? Well, the ventilation in the bathroom doesn‘t work well - you really have to keep the door open after having a shower to get the humidity out. Not a real problem, eh?

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise for us! It is so modern, designer-style, but also taking into account all the practicalities of a hotel stay. The room was amazing and super clean, had all the amenities (even a small kitchen!), a huge balcony overlooking the city. Staff was very polite! Parking for the car was free on the premises too!
