The hotel is strategically situated in the heart of the city, making it extremely accessible. Upon entering, guests are welcomed into a spacious and tastefully decorated reception area. During my stay, the night receptionist stood out for her friendly demeanor and competency, with flawless English communication. The rooms themselves are generous in size and maintained with relative cleanliness. Beds are thoughtfully designed to be big and firm without being hard, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. The in-room TV features Chromecast and offers a wide selection of channels catering to various languages including Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, German, English, French, Spanish, and Italian. For those looking to start their day right, the breakfast lounge is pleasantly spacious and well-appointed. Although the underground parking comes with a slightly steep price tag of 105 DKK per night, it's worth mentioning for those who may need it. Throughout the hotel, the staff were amiable and helpful without being intrusive.

The shower cabins are notably small and equipped with shower curtains, which might not suit everyone's preference. Check-in is restricted to before 2 am, potentially causing inconvenience for late travelers. In one of our rooms, there was some trash under the bed. Vegan guests may find the breakfast options somewhat limited, though there are offerings such as bread, margarine, oat milk, three kinds of jam, bananas, oranges, apples, cereal, nuts, and seeds. Those driving larger vehicles may struggle with the very tight parking spaces available in the basement. Lastly, the extra bed provided was found to be quite hard, possibly affecting the comfort of additional guests.

The location is excellent, very easy to find. There is secure parking under the hotel with reserved places for motorcycles. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We found the beds very comfortable, but that's a personal thing. Everything was very clean Great to have a usb and cordless charging station next to each bed, there also is an internet LAN port next to each bed.

It's in my opinion a little bit expensive for what it is. The room we had was a little on the small size, but not uncomfortable. You have to reserve a time slot of 45 min for your breakfast.

The hotel is modern and the facilities are well maintained. Located right next the train station, so it is really easy to travel to Copenhagen or Aarhus by train. The hotel is within walking distance to the shopping area in the center of Kolding, so a lot of things to see and shopping to do. The staff was really nice and helpful! All in all a good hotel to stay in.

Not a lot of things to complain about at this hotel. I can only think of two minor things, that I would comment: 1: The parking was at bit expensive at the hotel, and it is possible to park for free like 2 min. walk away from the hotel. 2: Before the check In, I was almost spammed with mails about pre-check in to get some digital key, but the entire process was a bit annoying and in my opinion not necessary at all.

Going by train you can't really complain when i takes you under a minute to leave the railway station and walk over to the hotel! The minute reception was efficient and friendly. A few hours later same person recommended a certain beer when asked. A real treat! It is rare to get a view that enhances your stay far beyond your expectations. But here was a spectacular one. The medieval castle Koldinghus rising high over water a few hundred meters distant. A fair number of hotel guests would have the same view. The room was indeed very comfy. Fitted with design furniture. Good size desk, three - at least - marvellous lamps, a wireless as well as plug-in charger by the bed. By the way that was excellent for a good nights sleep. As was the sound proofed room itself. Bathroom lacked nothing so it must be given a very good rating. Especially considering the fairly moderate price tag and the delicious breakfast I have now recommended friends and family to give Hotel Kolding a try. They wont be disappointed!

Honestly I can't think of anything at the moment! But ok, breakfast seemed so immensely popular that it took some time for staff to refill. Problem or not?!

The location is perfect and the staff were so very helpful and friendly. Excellent service! My room was lovely and spacious and I slept very well indeed. Everything was clean and tidy and looked inviting. Breakfast was exceptional. There was a great range of really delicious hot and cold food and drinks available. I can heartily recommend the pancakes for breakfast (I had mine with some honey). Thank you for a very welcoming and comfortable stay again.

Would have liked to see more Danish Pastries at breakfast (they had all gone and I ate in the middle of the breakfast) and maybe some fresh fruit? Otherwise, there was a great range of really delicious food. It's also a shame the décor for the lounge has changed, it was more inviting and comfortable during my first stay but I guess the new layout allows for more space.

The room was clean, the beds was comfy and the breakfast was good. The hotel is located right next to the train station, so it is very easy to connect with other city. The hotel is also closed to the shopping center in Kolding.

When I arrived (around 21:30) there was no staff in the lobby or restaurant to help me check-in. I was waiting there for like 15 min., and there was 2 other people in line behind me, before the lobby staff came. Maybe it could be a good idea to install a bell or call system in the lobby to avoid this problem.

Great location (by the train station), super close to the pedestrian zone. The modern room was the perfect size for 2 people and had a roomy bathroom. We loved being able to chromcast Netflix on the TV! I particularly love the huge breakfast buffet especially because every single thing was labeled (I'm celiac so I can only eat gluten free food). The check-in at the reception was super fast even without the app. Would definitely come back.

The room got pretty hot quickly during the night, but having a big window helped to get a nice flow of air.

Excellent staff and a very comfortable hotel in a great location in central Kolding, with great bars and restaurants close by. Breakfast was great and offered a good selection. Secure indoors parking which was a bit tricky to access but very easy once we found it.

Rooms were not air-conditioned. While I understand that extremely hot weather is not very common in Denmark, with this summer's heat wave across Europe, we were suffering a bit not being able to cool the rooms properly. Considering the very high standards of this hotel in all other aspects I wish they would consider making this upgrade.

I was several times in Kolding but never in that hotel. The staff was really great and helped me solve my dinner problem. It's in a good area close to Koldinghus and all the restaurants in the nice streets nearby.

Too much messages prior to my visit, like pre-check in and other stuff. I'm sure the intention is good and it's very thorough to inform about everything, but I cannot plan that much before I'm really on my way to the hotel. However, that's whining on a high level ;)
