The room was tidy and big enough for one person. The breakfast is nice as always, plenty of things to pick. The location is perfect, 2 minutes away from the train station. It couldn't be any better, unless they managed to build the hotel ON TOP of the actual station. There are 'common' areas on the ground floor where you can chat, drink some tea or coffee (for free) Have been here a few times already, can highly recommend.

Incredible hospitality! Charming building inside and out. Good breakfast, free coffee and ice cream throughout the day, delicious cake every day between 15 and 17 hours. Also free.

Very busy and noisy street, wooden floors which make a lot of noise, thin curtains so the light pours in day and night. Bathroom floor including shower was even so water flowed everywhere.

The location of the hotel is excellent by the train station and the high street with restaurants having their kitchen open also late in the evening. Very nice surroundings also, no heavy traffic and streets very suitable for an evening walk. The breakfast was good.

The room was a bit basic. We had booked a double room but were given a triple room so there was more space, but the furniture was anyway just the beds. Still, good for an overnight stay.

We visited in a group for our friend's wedding and it was our first time in Kolding. Upon arrival, the hotel already exceeded our expectations as the layout/decor is to a very high standard comparable to that of more expensive places. The reception (Nicholas) was very welcoming and super helpful throughout our stay and patiently catered to all our touristy questions and whims! The room we stayed in was very comfortable and clean (the amazing view of the castle was just a bonus!). What was really special and something we have never experienced before is the free hot drink machine accessible 24hrs and complimentary tea-time treat of cakes and slushies (perfect for the hot weather when we visited). The buffet breakfast was also to an exceptional quality and with a good variety of options. Another life-saving service was a secure luggage storage as we had a full day post-checkout before we had to leave for the airport so we could continue exploring the town without heavy bags. And when it was time to leave, the train station is literally 10 steps away (likewise the bus stop that takes you straight to airport).

Very convenient location next to the railway station is ideal for persons travelling by train. The hotel has some old-world charm and friendly staff. Breakfast was nice and they served freshly baked bread. Coffee, fruit and soft ice cream were available in the lobby for no extra charge.

There was no air-conditioning so the room was fairly hot (due to a thunderstorm in the night).

not all hotels have family rooms. this does which really is an advantage. the staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel is well located in the center of the city and near by the fjord. restaurants can be reached in walking distance. there is coffee and tea for free and popcorn and cake in the afternoon and additionally slush which made our son very happy. the breakfast room was really nice as you sit in a bright room with huge windows and the sun shines in in the morning.

unfortunately there was no hairdryer in the bathroom (I am not sure if this is usual or not, as we did not ask for one). some more fruits for breakfast would have been great.

The stuff was friendly and helpful, I also enjoyed the breastfast. Free coffee and fruit during the day. It's near the train and bus station, which makes visiting other places much easier. We took the bus 166 to visit Legoland, which was a 1-hour journey.

The hotel has a weird smell.

we traveled with an adult son, so we booked a spacious 4-bed room of 27 m2 with occupancy for 3 people. But we got a 3-bed room of 20 m2 with the justification that there are 3 of us and we have to pay extra for a 4-bed room. At the same time, the price was the same on www.booking.com. We finally received the invoice for the 4-bed room!

That it had an elevator which was great. The temporary reception lady was exceptional. I’ve stayed in about 24 hotels in the last month traveling through Netherlands, Germany and now in Denmark and she was definitely one of the best. Very welcoming, helpful, informative and more importantly, hospitable.

Nothing much. Maybe a lock garage or shed at the back yard might help cycle traveler feel a little less nervous at night.

Comfy bed, I liked the breakfast selection and the hotel is so close to the train station. One of the better hotels I have stayed at.

The tv was mounted too high that the viewing angle was poor for the screen when lying in bed, and i don't think it was possible to tilt it down. The breakfast staff was too quick to clean up the table that when I left to take a pastry, my dishes were gone and another person had taken my seat
