I stayed 9 nights at the Columbia hotel at Talaat Harb street, downtown Cairo. I really enjoyed my stay there. All the staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Thanks to all of you. The room I stayed in (room 9) was bright, clean and comfortable. Also the bed sheets and towels were clean. The room had a modern good working air-conditioning system, satellite television with about 1000 channels (choose your favourite :-) ), a clean modern fridge and the wifi signal was during my whole stay stable and strong (very important). The bathroom was spacious and hot water to shower was always available, day and night. A table and 2 chairs was also in the room which I explicitly asked for as I also had some work to do. The location is really in the center of downtown so everything you need is available in the shops nearby and there are also several restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Tahrir Square is a 10 minutes walk. So really nothing to complain and I will certainly come back to the Columbia hotel on a next trip to Cairo.

Hotel is located in an old building on the 6th floor,but it's renovated. Staff was always very kind, they tried to serve us in the best way they could. 🙂 Breakfast was really nice and was served in our nice and clean rooms. Hotel's location was perfect.

Our room's shower didn't have any curtains and sometimes there was a bad smell from the drains. During the 5 days we stayed there was not cleaned. Internet's connection wasn't that strong (of someone needs to work)

The place is clean, the service is great,no violation of privacy at any form which I think is the most important thing.

Everything was perfect! The location, the bed, amazing breakfast, super friendly staff and clean.

The hotel’s location is great. Good price/quality ratio. The staff were all super nice, they met us at night (we had a late check-out due to the flight) and even offered to have some food with them. Breakfast was traditional for Egypt, which is good for those who have never tried it before. Old colonial building with ancient elevators - a great insight into what these buildings look like inside. Special thanks to Mohamed and his team for their honesty and efficiency. It turned out that I had forgotten 500 pounds in the room after we checked out, and Mohamed reached out to tell me this and then found someone who transferred the money on our friend’s account the next day. The world needs honest and decent people like you! I recommend this hotel to anyone who is coming to Cairo. Greetings from Moscow!
