An extremely pleasant stay for me. The whole team were welcoming and made it an enjoyable experience. I was looked after very well. The room was modern and adequate for my needs, the view was outstanding. The terrace gives a beautiful view of the great pyramids of Giza. The staff regularly cleaned the room as and when required. I was offered complimentary snacks throughout my stay. Overall, I was made to feel a valued guest of the Khan Duidar Inn and the team were responsive to my needs, I would most definitely stay again!
The hotel is currently expanding and is having some additional work being done to increase its capacity, so there was some noise due to the work , at times the water supply and the electricity became affected due to the works but staff would try and rectify this as and when possible. Other than these temporary issues, there were no major problems during my stay.

Good beds, good location, great breakfast and great terrace. Not european clean, but among the cleaneast we had in egypt. The staff was taking good care of us. We would come back!
The street where the entry is is not the nicest, sandy, with people sleeping in the empty buildings. The elevator is also a bit scary. Some rooms are so small, hard to fit your suitcases. And those next to reception can be noisy when people check in late or early. They should just teach their staff not to be so stressed about insisting on paying the first minute. Feels like no one trusts anyone. But all that did not matter so much, we got used to it, and we extended our stay there and woyld always come back. Better coffee would be a great improvement. 👍

The Khan Duidar Inn is a neat little hotel near the Pyramids in Ghiza. It‘s best feature is the immense roof top terrace with a great view on the Pyramids. We also felt very comfortable in our room where everything functions at all times. It was spotlessly clean, with a sizable refrigerator to store our fruit provisions. White, fluffy and clean towels every day, unobtrusive and helpful personnel and a professional, reliable Management that keeps an eye on things. Its location is of course especially good for visiting Ghiza and Sakkara but during our 8 day stay we also drove several times to Downtown Cairo (car arranged by the hotel). We very much enjoyed the breakfast with varied local specialities as well as Western food. For lunch and dinner there is a possibility to order food by outside catering, local food, mostly meats, also pizzas. Neighbourhood is authentic, safe. The entrance to the hotel might not be five stars but once you arrive on the 13th floor, you truly get what you paid for. Also, there is a young man stationed downstairs at all times who will help you with bags and who presses the right buttons for you. If you want to have an unusual hotel experience in Cairo with attentive but unobtrusive personnel, a feeling that you belong and the probably best view on the Pyramids then you must choose the Khan Duidar Inn. You won’t regret it! When we‚re coming back for the GEM (when it‘s opening), we‘ll certainly try to get a room there again!
The outside catering could have been more varied on vegetables.

I’m not gonna lie, it took me some convincing not to run away when the car first pulled up to the street. But God am I incredibly happy that I didn’t. Khan DuiDar Inn was the single best experience I’ve ever had at a hotel anywhere, period. Don’t get me wrong, the neighborhood is very safe, but it still gave me a first impression that doesn’t suit the beauty and hospitality of the Inn. From the first seconds in, the hotel staff helped with every single thing we could need. Any potential minor issues were solved immediately, and the staff was always incredibly happy to help. The room was perfectly clean, and the photos were quite accurate. And once we got to the terrace, the hotel jumped to a new level of perfect for us. The photos don’t do the view justice. The incredible pyramids lie in front of you, as though you could touch them if you wanted. We spent most our time in the terrace, and the hotel turned out to be the best part of our entire trip to Egypt. The breakfast was perfectly balanced between traditional Egyptian and more western dishes, and the food from the delivery menu (there’s no kitchen in the hotel after breakfast, only delivery) was delicious. This might be the third time I’m saying this, but I can’t stress enough how incredible the staff were. They helped us plan our Cairo itinerary, helped us arrange a car back to Alexandria, and they created kind and heartwarming moments and surprises for us at every corner. We genuinely felt at home at the Inn. TLDR: Once you get past the first shock of the elevator and the street (both of which are actually very safe), Khan DuiDar Inn will definitely be an unforgettably beautiful experience with its magnificent view, perfect staff, and home-like feel. I couldn’t recommend it any more strongly!

Staff hospitality Cleanliness Pyramid view Room service food The staff are exceptional! Reception staff were very friendly and responsive, especially Eslam who went above and beyond in accommodating our requests promptly and also helped a great deal with my partner’s dress malfunction 😅 (which was greatly appreciated). The best example of hospitality. The doormen, kitchen staff, and housekeeping always greeted us with a smile! Thank you all.
The hotel itself is great, cannot fault it at all. However, the tour company that they recommended was not up to scratch. The tour guide was friendly, but was not very informative.

The room is spacious, and all the accessories are great. Absolutely amazing view and staff, they are always there when we needed and they are super passionate. The entrance may seem a bit weird but once u get up to 13th floor it is a very clean and comfortable place. Breakfast is delicious with a lot of selection and different eggs to choose from. And the cats are very cute.
The shower head is sort of broken? I mean it didn’t affect the comfort of the stay, but it’s just kinda weird. The street downstairs may be a bit chaotic at night, so if you are traveling alone or if you are only traveling with female, I would not recommend go out walking on the street after the sunsets.

This was our first stay here and we didn't know what to expect. Don't judge the place when you first get there because every hotel location is the same because it is Giza. The location was wonderful. The hotel rooms are located on the top two floors and you can actually see all three Pyramids from every room and it is even better from the terrace. The bathroom was fantastic, it was big and very clean and had everything one would need. The staff is outstanding, they will bring your luggage from the car to the room and back when you leave. The rooms are very comfortable and the beds are amazingly firm and comfortable. They also provide a safe for you important things. The breakfast is great with many choices including eggs cooked to your requests. They have a menu with many options for lunch and dinner, they will order it for you and serve the food on the terrace and you can pay for everything when you check-out. Without a doubt we will definitely come back when we return to the area.
Everything one could ask for. In our opinion this is THE BEST option for a vacationer when in Giza. We know this because when we met up with others during all the tours and our 6 day Nile cruise we heard all the horror stories. It is safe to walk around and mix with the locals as well.

Everything! It was a very nice stay in Cairo/Giza that we recomend for everyone who want to feel a charm of Pyramids and atmosphere of the local city life in the same time. The members of staff are wery welcoming, and helpful. Every person in Khan DuiDar will make your stay perfect. The breakfast was delicious and have plenty options for everyone. You can also get eggs in mamy forms (scrumbled, omlette etc) on demand. I love their falafel, beans and Egyptian pastries. The viev from room and tarrace was stunning! It was a little loud from the street (normal traffic of the city). We had room beside reception, and lift but the noises are not very interrupting us. You can also order from delivery menu for lunch/dinner and eat on the tarrace - we recomend it for lovely evening with pyramids viev :) The hotel is located on the lasts floors of high building, next to local supermarket, 20 minutes on foot to pyramids.
There are no celling lightning, only next to the door - but it's a small thing

The location of the hotel was perfect - 10 minutes away from the pyramids but on a quiet street. Previously I stayed on the main street and could not sleep due to the street noise, that was not the case at Khan Duidar. Being on the top floor and away from car noise, the sleep was uninterrupted. The hotel is also a walking distance from several restaurants and shops. The room wasn't large but it was clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable, linen clean. The breakfast was tasty and there was a reasonable variety in the buffet. I also quite enjoyed watching the sunset from the balcony.
The staff seemed confused about a few things.. first, I booked a direct pyramid view room, got a city view instead. Thankfully they were able to fix that. When I asked about recommendations of where to watch a football game outside of the hotel (for a more authentic experience.. a local pub or similar), the man at the reception kept insisting that I watch in the hotel restaurant (which was empty... far from the authentic experience I was seeking). When we asked for information about buses and trains, we again got very little help. Towels could be replaced, they were clean but showing signs of wear. Room service took a while, next time I'd probably walk over to the restaurant and order directly.
