As Abbeville was badly hit by bombing in the war, much of the centre has been re-built. The cathedral still stands (mostly) and the newer parts of the town have grown around it. The hotel is well situated in this bustling town and we chose it for the proximity to Calais for our Shuttle the following day. Parking was ample in the square and the hotel had a very nice restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

Other guests plainly use the room service facility as there were dirty breakfast trays littering the corridors from the morning service when we arrived in the evening. These were not a pleasant first impression.

Comfy bed. Quiet room. Bath and shower. Parking available close by in a free car park with no height restrictions for our VW van. Good choice of menu for evening meal. Lots of choice at breakfast. Lift to upper floors. Very clean. The room was cool during the heat.

The staff said I did not have a booking despite me showing them the email evidence. And that I had paid in advance. In the end they believed me but it took some persuasion. All was well in the end and the room made up for the worrying few moments.

Large bedroom and very large en suite bathroom. Clean, light and comfortable. Friendly staff.

The restaurant menu was a little restrictive, but as Abbeville doesn't seem to have any restaurants, the choice for eating was limited. Sadly Abbeville seems infested by motor bikes with no exhaust silencers making the visit to the town very uncomfortable. Young riders seems to enjoy riding around continuously causing nuisance.

Good location for restaurants and bars, private, secure parking was appreciated for our motorcycles. Clean room with windows that actually open, and air con that works.

Was not aware that the breakfast was €20 extra , which although possibly the going rate, was I felt very expensive. €40 buys a lot at a local cafe. Appreciate it was me not reading the booking thoroughly, but neither were we informed when we booked in.

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was lovely. Would stay again but maybe not with our dog.

We had our dog with us and it wasn't very clear that the outside space was on the edge of a road and on the pavement at the front of the hotel so this made it tricky for a comfortable to sit and have a drink or even to have something to eat. Having said that the dig was allowed un the resturant.

Best thing about the property is the location, right in the center of this beautiful town. We loved the antique store right across the street. The city is a gem and the hotel made everything walking distance, seemed to be plenty of parking when I arrived. Friendly staff, friendly townsfolk, beautiful architecture, nice quaint stores. we also had a room with a view of the city center, what a great addition, will always remember the view. Only stayed one night, wish it was more, will be back for more sometime in the future.

Perhaps add a microwave to the rooms?? The doors tend to slam if not aided shut.

Everything you would expect from a large city centre hotel and not that expensive. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Nice lounge and bar. Nice large room. Helpful, pleasant staff. Recommended.

The "parking garage, secured parking" listed on the website was not offered when we enquired. There is lots of free parking on the streets outside but some of it is time restricted till 7pm though some is unrestricted if you can find one. We did find the last one on arrival at 5pm but by 6pm there were lots. That was Saturday. Weekdays - who knows?

As already stated in the key questions, the location is good. Dinner was good, breakfast was perfectly fine. The best thing was the staff who were very helpful.

Although tea and coffee were provided in the room, low-quality paper cups are not great for hot drinks (and may have a higher environmental cost than proper mugs), and there was no milk in the room.

This hotel is in a good, central location. It is right in the centre of the town. There are plenty of shops nearby. The hotel is clean, bright and tidy. The staff are friendly and helpful. Free parking is located 50 yards from the hotel although places are very limited and may be difficult to secure if you arrive at a busy time. Free Wifi in a large, clean and comfortable bedroom. Good TV with plenty of channel options. Good breakfast with all you could ask for.

A good central hotel. Very quiet when we were there on 27th December. We were all very tired after xmas and travelling so we decided to eat in the hotel. Not too bad at all and very convenient. The waiter even gave me a free glass of wine. Would definitely return.

Could have explained the car parking a bit better...but think if you have a blue parking badge, for parking in French Towns, you can have a few more hours.
