The Villa is gorgeous and decorated inside in keeping with the period. Our room was very clean and very comfortable. There is a relaxing lounge area where we had aperitifs with other guests before sitting down to a wonderful evening meal, which was cooked to perfection. Breakfast consisted of a continental buffet and eggs and bacon cooked by Charles himself. Charles was the perfect host. Nothing was too much trouble. He and my partner enjoyed long conversations over their mutual interest in motorbikes. This was our last night in France after a 4 week trip, and it finished the holiday off perfectly. I highly recommend Villa Primerose

Beautiful Villa and Charles and the staff were fantastic! Very last minute (as the restaurants were shut due to a holiday!) they produced the most wonderful supper for a full hotel (including special requests from the children) Delicious! Amazing champagne and wine selection and brilliant breakfast! Thank you for the perfect last stop on our way home…we will be back!

A charming French hotel. Full of period charm and antiques. Large room with original.features but a very modern bathroom and stylish shower. The small town is nearby and the motorway only 3 miles away so ideal for a stopover on the way South.. We are already planning a 2 night stay next year. Very secure property.

Check in is a little late but we idled away our wait on the river bank.

A lovely and warm welcome by the super friendly and helpful host. Everything was arranged perfectly. The location, a small castle like villa, is so beautiful and inside everything fits this castle atmosphere. Huge paintings, leather couches, colourful rooms.

The location is ofcourse not a "hotspot tourist location" so going somewhere would always be a ride by car.

This is a beautiful place to stay, historic and quirky. We loved it! Our room on the second floor was warm, comfortable and spacious. We had a small kettle for making tea/coffee which was a real bonus. We were met by a staff member on arrival and she looked after us very well. We were very happy to have secure parking for our car too. We didn’t have breakfast here but it looked lovely in the little dining room.

The breakfast was excellent. The shower was great. Charles was a fantastic host …very kind and helpful and full of humour. Nothing was any trouble. We enjoyed our walk around the garden and as we were just passing through on the way back to Uk after our ski holiday with our car full of stuff the secure parking was an added bonus. It is a good stop off point on the way to the Alps (or way back) to break the journey. Charles will do dinner if requested in advance but there are also restaurants in the town and nearby.. Thank you Charles..

Villa and property is really silence. it has also this classic French style which is what we were looking for in terms of weekend city break. Everything is well maintained.

The only thing which comes to my mind is the hours for check-in. it would be nice to leave the baggage before collection of the keys to the room.

Charles and his wife gave us a wonderful welcome. They put the 5 of us into the separate 3 bed apartment, which was perfect. We had a delicious supper, sitting outside, cooked by their friendly chef. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you.

Nothing, it was perfect.

well equipped two bedroom villa in the grounds of the main house. two decent size bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. the host Charles couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful with dinner recommendations. we only stopped for one night on our way from the Alps to Calais so we didn’t get proper use of the villa.

it was incredibly hot (heat wave) so an electric fan would have been good.

Breakfast was excellent, the house was very interesting with lovely stained glass. The terrace was nice and our evening meal was served outside which was pleasant. The parking was safe and secure which was our main reason for choosing here, (apart from location on our journey through France).

the evening meal main course was poor, meat was very tough. Our bathroom had a door which didn't close properly.
