A beautifully kept hotel, spotlessly clean and friendly welcoming staff , our room was comfortable and spacious with a Juliet type balcony with lovely views over the city and sea beyond and in a quiet area. The only minor downside was not any bars or shops in the immediate area but a 10 minute walk took you to a few bars and further on to lots of shops and the main square. The walk down was very steep so not the best for anyone with mobility issues. Would recommend this hotel.

A kettle and tea tray in the room would have been nice. Steep location.

The room was very spacious and nicely organised, the separate toilet and bathroom were convenient. The balcony view overlooked both the sea and some portion of the citadel. The hotel gives of a luxurious impression. During the stay there were always free parking places around the hotel. The staff was helpful and very pleasant.

I really have no remarks about the room or the hotel in general. Maybe just a reminder that the distance to the center of the city is not short, especially on the way back when you have to walk up the hill.

We loved the location as we had a room with a sea-view looking over the bay. Super modern, comfortable and the staff were helpful and friendly at all times. Would definitely return another time. The indoor pool was a bonus in October and welcome relaxation after our long days out.

We were disappointed that the kettle (tea/coffee) making facilities had been removed (us Brits love our cuppas!) - but we made do with bowls from the breakfast room and the microwave. Nothing else to dislike ... super room, great hotel. The position may be a little far out for some, but we found a quick alley walk just up past the hotel which got us down to the habour in 10 mins max.

The indoor facilities were really good. The pool is not too large/deep but still enough to relax in. The gym room has enough equipment for a standard training routine. The breakfast had a great view over the city and the food was also good (variety wasnt too great though).

Bath and toilet were separated and there was no tap in the toilet. The ventilation system in the bath was rather weak, so our towels didnt dry.

Hotel Le Bastia was such a gem!! The hotel is just beautiful, and the view from our room was stellar! Room itself was awesome- very spacious, nice large bed, with a kitchenette. We were thrilled with the room, it totally exceeded our expectations, just wonderful. Staff were friendly and helpful. We used the underground garage parking for 8 euro per day. There is free street parking if you can find it. City center is just down the hill below. We walked down following the road which was about 15 min, and walked back up the steep path short-cut at the end of the evening. Bastia was really fun to explore. I wish I had planned for more than 1 night but we had to fly out the next morning. I'd love to stay at the hotel again and spend more time in Bastia someday.

nothing really...it's a bit of a convoluted drive through city center up to the top of the hill, made a bit more difficult with the traffic at the time, but wasn't too tough

We asked at our arrival for extending our stay one more night and, although the hotel was almost fully booked, they really made their best, changing us to another much bigger room (from room to apartment) so we could spend both nights. The apartment is HUGE, much more than what we needed, but gave us the chance to stay 2 nights. You could tell they are still working in final touches, all seemingly brand new and still some things to be finalised, but still really nice and amazing views over the sea. Staff has been really nice and helpful. there was also a slight misunderstanding at the payment and they where also quick on fixing it. Good walking access to the city center (downhill! getting back to the hotel is not flat :-))Next time, we will also try the swimming pool.

The apartment seems still to need some finishings like mirror or towel hanger in the guest toilet. The garage has a steep access, which can be tricky if you have a big old car. Rooms facing the street can get a bit noisier as cars run pretty fast there.

Good range of choice for breakfast with lovely view over port . All staff friendly and efficient . Air conditioning / fridge in room . Good leisure facilities , particularly the pool . Room tidied / clean linen daily . Working lifts / appliances . Large comfortable beds . Safe for valuables in room ( no charge ) .

No real complaints about hotel . Would certainly stay there again . Tourist Information Centre in town not particularly good - poor street maps and skimpy details of local buses / walks /cinemas / places of interest etc .

Very comfortable and spacious room, huge comfy bed with good pillows and a clean bathroom. The hotel is finished to a really good standard, the people at front desk were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious (proper orange juice and bean to cup coffee) with a great view of the sunrise over Bastia. Didn’t get a chance to try the pool.

Ramp to the parking was very steep!

Amazing views of Citadelle from our bedroom. Bedroom well equipped and comfortable with fridge for you to put snacks and drinks in if you need. Reception staff helpful and hotel well equipped. The pool is located in basement and larger than expected and towels provided. We didn't use it but there is a car park as well. For those who do not like walking would recommend staying somewhere more central as the hotel is located up a hill - but then, that's how you get the great views!

The rooms were very comfortable, beds quite cosy and air conditioning very efective, Nice shower and large bathroom. Good swiming pool!

You could have more fruit on breakfast - fruit salad - and perhaps scramble eggs. The hotel lobby closes at night. It's very annoying to phone to get the door open. I was travelling with my company phone and I couldn't make phone calls to foreign numbers. So I needed to yell and knock on the door repeatedly and no one came. I needed to ask someone who was passing by to make the call for me. So please, if the lobby door is closed find a way to hear the door if someone wants to enter at 2 am.
