The host Fenella was incredible. Very warm, welcoming and amenable. I had a problem with my bicycle enroute and she immediately on arrival telephoned the local cyclery (which actually was closed) to see if they could provide me with the parts I needed which they happily obliged. Such a relief. She also has a beautiful flat coated retriever dog which if you like dogs is a highlight to encounter. The property was close to the centre of town. It was impeccably clean and the rooms, modern and very tastefully furnished. There was no stone left unturned in what you would want in a room. There were modern retractable hooks in the bathroom to hang towels or clothing. Heated towel rail. Outside the bathroom more retractable hooks plus a open wardrobe with hanging space. There was a ‘box’ on the bedside locker that you could charge you mobile from on top plus outlets to plug your chargers in for multiple devices as well as triple plug board for European appliances to be plugged into. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we had such a wonderful nights sleep. Breakfast was amazing served by the lovely Beatrice. The tables impeccably set. Delicious coffee, juice, baguette, croissant, local jams , muesli and freshly made fruit salad. There was a lovely small salon downstairs where you could sit or utilise the dining area which had newspapers and books throughout your stay. There was also a toaster and jug, teas and coffees available to guests all day. Also umbrellas in a stand at the entrance if required for guests.

Le Rodin is a great little hotel, very conveniently located, if you're on your way from Brittany to the Pyrenees. It's been renovated very nicely, to a very high and modern standard - multi-sockets with USB ports and touch night lights -, and in our opinion it deserves 4*! The bed and sheets were very comfortable, too, and of high quality and very soft, the room had a decent size and the shower was also fantastic. And the owner and her team were super friendly and welcoming and made us a great breakfast, with croissants, pain de chocolate, baguette, home-made fruit salad and even gluten free bread and oat milk for me and very good coffee. Very attentive, thoughtful and a nice touch. We'll definitely be back if we'll be in this area again and can highly recommend Le Rodin.

Nothing, everything was fantastic and to the highest standard.

We stayed in order to visit the Fete des Boeuf Gras Bazas. For us, communications were top class, with a caring and warm welcome, which was totally evident throughout our stay. Our room, 11, could not have been more perfect for our needs. The location of the hotel was perfect, in order to easily walk to centre ville, and what a treat centre ville is, the most magnificent Cathedrale, and surrounding historic buildings. At the Rodin, there is a comfortable shared lounge, and quaint terrace at the entrance. The Hotel is newly refurbished to a high standard, Fenella and staff could not have been more helpful, she booked a table at the fabulous Indigo for us. For travellers, there is a laundrette right next to the Hotel. Easy parking is normally opposite the Hotel, Make time to visit La Cave, on the short walk to the Cathedrale. We have pleasure in recommending 100% the Rodin and its Owner.

Absolutely nothing.

We loved the central location of the hotel. It was swelteringly hot when we stayed but the hotel supplied an air conditioning unit for the room and fans and air conditioning units in the hallway too. The room had everything we needed plus an excellent shower and good bathroom. We asked for a quiet room and this request was complied with. The young lady who greeted us was extremely helpful and charming. She also served a good-value, high-quality French-style breakfast the following morning. Bazas has the most fantastic old cathedral and architecture, mostly set around a huge square. I'd like to visit for longer when I would stay again at Le Rodin Bazas.

The little hotel is beautifully presented with the rooms so comfortable with beautiful bedding, excellent shower, and so immaculate. The owner, Fenella, was there to greet us in English! We were made to feel so welcome, so,safe, so well looked after. The breakfast was perfectly presented with coffee, croissants, orange juice and everything served with lovely French manners.

Even the most discerning traveller could not find anything amiss, we believe.

Beautiful old building, lovingly refurbished by the new owners. Lots of attention to detail with clean, artistic lines. The shower was particularly well-done: sparkling clean and spacious with two shower heads. Comfortable, affordable accommodations in Bazas, which is a good halfway point when driving between the Mediterranean Sea (Barcelona) and the English Channel (Dinan/Mont Saint-Michel). Free parking across the street.

Le Rodin was a tranquil oasis, a wonderful place to stay. A very welcoming host who made us tea on the terrace. Beautifully appointed rooms, building. Super breakfast for hungry cyclists. the breakfast was excellent and the owner was very helpful and nice They are very pet friendly and welcomed our dog. Parking in the public car park was free and across the small road at the front of the hotel We shall certainly stay again

Very little to say as it fulfilled our requirements

The very warm welcome by our hostess , Fenella , as we arrived; the excellent location with parking just outside; Le Rodin is a beautiful historical building recently and very tastefully renovated ; our gorgeous bedroom with beautiful en-suite bathroom ….. I can still smell the wonderful artisan soap ! Breakfast the following morning was delightful….. and Power , the most endearing Water Retriever I have ever met ! I noticed that Fenella sent a phone message before we headed out for evening dinner suggesting we take a loan of the house umbrella in case it rained …. How sweet was that ? Thank you Fenella, luckily we didn’t need it !! This lovely lady thinks of everything 😉

That we had to leave so soon - unfortunately our tickets for our homeward voyage required us to leave the following day ….otherwise we would have stayed for much, much longer.

Property was very nice with plenty of parking around. Property is in a good position with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops around.
