Loved the dungeon rooms and view from the top. Breakfast was just right, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom charming, but it’s exceptional ambiance that makes this such an enjoyable experience.

Had some miscommunication about dropping off our bags. We were having issues with calling from our phone which, in addition to my very limited French, created confusion with the cleaning staff who seemed to think we were trying to check in and stay. The gentlemen at the patisserie where you pick up the key went above and beyond to try to assist us regardless of the language barrier and the lady who was cleaning was never impolite.

Staying in an 11th-century tower, sleeping in the cells of a dungeon, is a completely unique experience. This was our twelve-year-old grandson’s favorite accommodation in a 2-week biking trip along the Loire. The beds and linens are comfortable, the bathroom is generous and modern. The kitchen is small, and our breakfast consisted of only beverages and jellies (no cereals or pastries). The view from the top of the tower is breathtaking. We enjoyed our one-night stay and recommend it for those who are adventurous and appreciate quirky experiences.

The description said breakfast was included, which was not accurate in our case. The host provided beverages and jellies. when we checked in, he suggested that we go to a boulangerie and purchase sweet rolls and bread.

The main attraction is that you are in a very old fashioned prison from way back in the past and have the authentic doors etc. There is an amazing view from the top and the steps aren't too difficult even for old timers like us.

It was very much as expected.

What a wonderful, quirky stay. Highly recommended for those who want something different! Definitely memorable in a good way. Wonderful sunrises and sunsets from the rooftop.

A tower with a history, we got a key and we were there all alone. We met a ghost monk, but it wasn't scary, it was gorgeous. Clean, authentic, kitchen has everything you need for breakfast, bakery nearby. The view from the roof of the tower over the Blois Chateau and the city is amazing. Thank you!

A very interesting and unique experience to stay in the 900 year old dungeon. And it gets the best panoramic views of the city. We were in Loire Valley to learn about French history. What a great way to incorporate this experience into our trip.
