The very helpful staff, particularly those we met on reception, the room itself, the very comfortable bed and the food, dinner and breakfast. We would definitely consider staying again, but in a different room - see below

* We found the stairs in the corridor on going to and from the lift difficult. We are both elderly and use walking sticks, don’t define ourselves as disabled, but those particular stairs were a definite drawback. We mostly used the main staircase rather than the lift because of those particular stairs. * We found the surround of the shower dangerous. On entering and leaving the bathroom we had to try avoid the surround. * It was very slippery when getting out of the shower - the surround was extremely slippery when wet.

The hotel was ideally situated for a stopover & easy to find. It was very central with a car park directly opposite. All of the staff were very friendly, welcoming & helpful. We had a lovely room on both stays. A great meal in the onsite bistro & a good selection of treats at breakfast. We stayed here at both ends of our holiday & would definitely return another time. We have also recommended this hotel to friends who regularly travel through France. A real gem of a hotel with lovely staff !!! Thank you.

Great Bed, Nice room with good space, nice bathroom. Building has lovely old architectural merit. I was particularly impressed that reception spoke to me in French, they did speak excellent English to my friends, but recognised I my fluency. The location was very central, and easy to walk to all we visited. Breakfast was excellent and gluten free bread was available with prior request.

The lighting in the room was a little dull for me. The bathroom lighting was OK.

Great location for an overnight stay on our way to Spain. Put our car in the safe hotel car park for €10. Staff very friendly and gave us a leaflet on what to do in the town. Walked our dog around the three parks and enjoyed the atmosphere of the historic town, with children’s displays for the Paris 2024 Olympics. We had an delicious meal at the Bistro restaurant at €30 each for 2 courses. Room very clean and comfortable.

Nothing, we will come here again.

The hotel was in the heart of the town but in a quiet spot. The furnishings were tasteful and the staff very friendly and helpful. The bistro meal was excellent as was the buffet breakfast. This was our first stay at this hotel but we will use it again.

The parking was limited. We were travelling out of season so there were few cars around and had a space. With a full hotel there would not be enough spaces for everyone. There were local car parks and street parking but even out of season it was busy. A disadvantage of a town centre location. I was surprised to be charged 10 euros to park overnight.

A central location convenient for shops and bars. A small car park available be a we didn’t want to park on the street. Lovely staff on reception and in the breakfast room. We had an excellent breakfast and coffee.

The mattress was a bit soft compared to what we are used to but that is just our preference.

I ate in the Bistro and was rewarded with a great meal by the same kitchen of the formal restaurant.

Unfortunately, most of the Bistro staff, had not been told that people eating in the Bistro might like a more relaxed atmosphere and fun. I felt that all except one of the service staff were stuck up, officious, and unkind. Exactly what I had wanted to avoid, I've had to endure many 1,2,3 Star Michelin dinners. They also refused to serve an aperitif before dinner in the separate Hotel lounge. This provinciality, even with the good food (not something one can't get elsewhere in Burgundy) literally spoiled my evening. I drowned the grief in a nice Rose though.

Nice spacious room in a pleasant hotel just a short walk from the town centre. Really good bathroom. Superb restaurant - the food in the "Bistro" was of exceptional quality with service to match. Michelin star standards without the price tag!

On site car park was a little limited for space, but was OK

I gave the rating of 'Superb' for the very friendly, helpful and English-speaking staff. The room was quite big and well equipped. Would come again!

I'm sure the hotel's Michelin star restaurant may have set expectations, but we found the breakfast to quite basic. Good, but basic.

Good location with paid private secured parking. Clean bedroom with clean spacious bathroom (bathtub and separated shower). Staff are very friendly and helpful. There are two very good restaurants on the premise. One is fine dining with a dégustation menu which was delicious!
