We were blown away by this Beautiful house, our last stop on what had been a 3.5 weeks tour of France, and a fitting place for us to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary. The hosts were very accommodating, making restaurant reservations for both nights we were there. The breakfast is lovely and location perfect for touring the Battle of the Somme area. Bridget was very helpful and offered us a warm welcome when we arrived and ongoing. They are a lovely family who’ve done an amazing job at renovating this beautiful chateau.

The hotels historic significance. The family who run the hotel are simply brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Our rooms, on both occasions we have stayed there, were simply fantastic. Immaculately clean and beautifully furnished in keeping with the building's history. Breakfast was well set out and of excellent quality. We are certainly going back next year en-route to Italy. Thank you to everyone there.

There was nothing negative from our point of view. We loved the place.

What a privilege it was to stay in such a beautiful Chateau. Our room was cosy with comfy beds and a great shower. Our hosts were fabulous. So helpful, kind and generous. It was wonderful hearing about the history of the Chateau and its various stages of renovation. The location is great. Only 15 minutes from Albert and well located for exploring several of the WW1 sites. We just wished we could have stayed longer.

We had a wonderful time here! The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming and made our stay very special by having a drink with us while talking about the history of the area. We don't speak any French but the hosts were great and with some help from our smartphones we could communicate. The place is very impressive and pretty, the bathrooms absolutely clean and the bed very comfortable. We felt like royals for a night. For breakfast we had, besides a large choice of bread and cheese, also freshly made omelettes for us and I loved the homemade jam! I would love to stay here again!

This property was a great surprise - we did not know the history before hand and really enjoyed the owners explanations. They went to great lengths to make sure everything was perfect for our stay. Even put on a video and some welcome drinks to help us understand the significance of the property in the region. I love discovering places like this - much better that the run-of-the-mill hotels that are the same everywhere! Breakfast was in a light and airy dining area with views over the gardens. Plenty of choices and all local food and fresh. And the puppies!

You need to be aware that a car is essential, as cafes etc for dinner are a few kms away. We knew this beforehand, so not a problem for us.

Beautiful old property in the northern French countryside. A family run business, the hosts were friendly and welcoming. Our room was very nicely decorated, quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast we had was also excellent. Fresh eggs from their own chickens, and lovely fresh bread and pastries. A great place to use as a base for exploring the WWI memorials in this part of France.

We were a little disappointed that we had to travel to a nearby town for dinner each night, but this really was not a big issue as our overall experience was excellent.

Very comfortable historic chateau. Proud owners sharing their home and family history. Tied in nicely with WW1 and WW2 sites nearby. Nearby city of Amiens is a treasure not to be missed. Breakfast was delicious - bread, cheeses, yogurts, croissants, fruit and omelette. Nice selection of teas.

I felt that our hostess worked to hard to attend to us.

Beautifully renovated Chateau close to major historic sites related to WW1 and the battle of the Somme. Spacious, comfortable rooms and the hosts go out of their way to assist you. Don’t miss out on their extensive knowledge regarding the area and the Chateau itself.

Beware that you will need a car to reach restaurants etc. Not suitable for the disabled.

Such a fantastic welcome, it was if we were long- lost friends returning home. Our hosts could not do enough to make us feel relaxed and pampered. The property had a character of its own, and the cleanliness was exceptional! Bridgette & Francis were perfect hosts, not too intrusive but always available to answer questions. can’t wait to go back next year!!
