Fabulous stay. We booked two rooms and they were large, modern and very comfortable. We had access to a communal sitting area and small kitchen with outdoor patio. It was very quiet with spendid views of the chateau. Convenient walk to town, restaurants and attractions. The weekly market was lively. Breakfast was outstanding. Homemade jams, breads, juice, along with regional specialities. Hosts provided us with numerous options for day trips, restaurants and we enjoyed an aperitif with them. Lovely couple.. Everything was wonderful!

We stayed for two nights in Villa des Contamines and loved our stay. The hosts were charming and very welcoming, inviting us to share a drink on our first evening, providing restaurant recommendations during our stay and serving the best jam collection at breakfast. There are fresh water bottles available as well as a common area with kitchen facilities, and you can park your car in their garden. The Villa is a short walk from the medieval town center and a great place to stay while visiting the region.

No suggestions

Quiet location, with large garden and easy street parking outside. Spacious and comfortable bedroom with view over the garden and into the distant hills, and a well-equipped bathroom. A peaceful night’s sleep, followed by an excellent breakfast. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

No negative aspects

lovely people welcome you into their beautiful renovated villa. Bed is very comfortable, breakfast includes fresh fruit and bread from the bakery which was still warm.and amazing home made jams. The little village is a very close walk with a few restaurants one which was excellent “L'Armoire a Cuillers” which was recommended. The village is intriguing and not touristy.

Cremieu is a spectacular, well preserved small medieval town, a delight to explore. And our lodging at Villa des Contamines was perfect - one of our favorite stays on our three month bicycling tour of France. Excellent accommodations, well located close to the historical center, we had a fine view of the castle ruins from our bedroom, and the hospitality was first rate.

An exceptionally warm welcome!! Breakfast was simply outstanding, delicious homemade preserves, generous, helpful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. A veritable oasis within a most beautiful town. Merci beaucoup!!!

Operated with a lot of love. Unfortunately we stayed only one night. It was beautiful - very nice house and garden. Perfect breakfast with large selection of delicious homemade jams. We loved the village.

Joel and Vicenta were perfect hosts. We especially enjoyed their welcome and interesting conversation, and the home-made breakfast with local specialities. Lovely building, pretty town, good choice of local restaurants. Secure parking on site.
