I loved the location and facilities. Most of the staff were lovely.

We had a party of 17 people. When the main course was served we had no wine or water. We had pre-paid the wine but they refused to put the bottles on the table and were too busy to serve us. We ate the whole of our main course with no water or wine. I got up and put bottles of water on the table myself when I found them! The red wine was eventually served with dessert. We were still owed a glass of wine and some people had already gone to bed. Also the children didn’t get their main course until all the adults had been served - they are 5 and 7! After the meal we went to the bar and waited while the barman served another person. When we asked for drinks he refused to serve us as it was 2 minutes past ten. He was not polite.

This is a beautiful old country house in a very quiet location. The room was very small, but clean, and the ensuite had high quality fittings. The bed was comfortable. There is a very pleasant bar, and the restaurant food was of the highest quality. There was plenty of choice for breakast. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. There is also a swimming pool, which I cannot comment on, as I did not use it!

It seems a shame that there are not more choices on the dinner menu, but the food was excellent. I also think that extending the opening hours just slightly (maybe 19:00 - 21:00) might alleviate the rush at 19:30.

The Chateau is an impressive building and we got to stay in it ! our room was in the roof and not too large , but fine for a one night stay . We had access to a fantastic swimming pool , located in a modern block on same site , two minute walk from the main building .The meals were taken in a separate building styled for wedding receptions , and the grounds with lake and statuary were very pleasant to walk and relax in

Late check-in of 4pm to room , and on the Sunday afternoon no cafe / bar facilities......however the sole receptionist did manage to find a plate of croissants and a glass of local beer to tide us over !

Great location - beautiful building and grounds, well mentained and presented. Staff very friendly and accommodating - we arrived late (Eurotunnel delaying us by over 2 hours) at 00:30 and had no problems checking in. Not sure how busy the hotel was at the time of our stay, but there was ample spare parking space- a huge bonus when arriving at an unsociable hour. We slept well, and enjoyed a good breakfast - good quality and choice of food.

Only slight point of concern was that the breakfast ran out of coffee and some food such as scrambled eggs, at some point - we were under the impression there was a young team working hard to provide a good breakfast experience, and they did a good job overall.

Good size room with an upstairs for the kids to sleep. Beds were comfortable. Good breakfast. Indoor pool, not big but enough to swim around, was busy when we went at 5pm. Ping pong available in the garden (ask for raquets and ball at the reception) Restaurant must be nice as it was fully booked so would advice to book when you book the room. Electric car chargeurs available.

No air conditioning despite the fact that we stayed in the side annexe of the castle (or manor as my son would say, he expected a proper castle). It was very hot in the upstairs part. No fridge. A few spider webs in the corridors.

The hotel was very clean and the bedroom well laid out and ideal on the ground floor. We had a set of french doors straight out to the gardens and duck pond, which was maintained only to hold the banks with reeds and water friendly plants. The pond had numerous nesting Moore Hens, at our time of visit doing a great job of nursing their brood of chicks. As we went into the early evening we also saw, and definitely heard the croaking frogs. A real treat to our stroll around the grounds with an Aperol. The restaurant located just across the drive way was well placed, roomy and the food/wine menu had a great selection.

The location is perfect for an overnight stay before heading to the Eurotunnel. It’s a lovely building in a pretty setting. We had a small room but it was comfortable and fine for us. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The swimming pool was a treat after a long journey. This was the second time we have stayed there. The last time was five years ago and I would stay there again.

There didn’t seem to be many staff. The bar was often unattended. This is not a criticism of the staff themselves. They were professional. The grounds seemed a bit overgrown and the lawns needed mowing.

Stayed here before a few times years ago and last December so knew what to expect and it did not disappoint. This room was slightly larger than the previous one but, surprising as it was Easter week and school holidays, cheaper. For our December visits we stayed in the middle of St Omer - smaller room, noisier, no parking, more expensive and no ambiance, and the second visit was the Chateau. For the sake of a ten / fifteen minute drive the Chateau wins over St Omer.

Same as last time and trivial I know but that they only give one sachet of tea or coffee per person. No doubt I could have asked for more but at 7am when you fancy a coffee and both sachets were used the previous evening ........

Very picturesque hotel grounds and building. The room was a good size and with comfortable beds and a large modern bathroom. The swimming pool area was good warm and very useable.

After we booked and paid non refundable full payment they emailed us to say there restaurant was fully booked so we would have to eat else where. The hotel is in countryside so after a long drive we had we were expected to get into car again to go out and eat. (they said they were a victim of their restaurant success - I said no you were the benefactor, we as paying guests were the victims) - Receptionist was very abrupt with us, too busy and more focused on her other duties. Bar staff told us to sit in garden and they would come take order - they never came, other guest warned us to go to bar and order (meantime I saw waiter was stacking crates). VERY VERY POOR guest service

Great location for pre return to UK stopover. Nice grounds with free parking on site. Large Chateau with comfortable rooms all with mod cons. Nice bathroom with large bathtub and shower. Good Wi-Fi. Water provided free of charge in the rooms. Comfortable bed. Very helpful and friendly reception staff. Very good meal in the restaurant.

They are quite short staffed like many establishments. It is advisable to book for dinner in the restaurant as timings are an issue. Although only a quarter full they only had enough staff to cover a certain number of covers. Once served they were very good as was the meal. We had a drink at the bar before dinner but we were immediately asked to sign for them and the staff disappeared to do restaurant duties, meaning no second drink and hanging around until our reservation time. This is an observation not a complaint the limited staff they had were very efficient and friendly
