Everything was fantastic and perfect for the children. The rooms, kitchen and bathroom were plenty big enough for us and everything was modern. There were televisions in both rooms, a large fridge-freezer, an induction hob and a great shower. The beds were comfortable and there was a balcony connecting the two rooms. Next door was the water park that we used for a few hours. It had one slide, a hot tub, wave machine and lots of other interesting wildlife themes. We liked the tipping buckets outside. The staff in the hotel and swimming complex were friendly and happy to help. Within the parkland area were several small rivers, outdoor exercise machines, an obstacle course similar (though smaller than) go ape, lakes for kayaking and pedalos, an outside swimming pool with lifeguard, a climbing wall, a very nice bar and grill restaurant and a pétanque club. On the first night , we had live music. The staff were all young students who were friendly and encouraging. We also walked through the park to the centre of Jonzac to see the chateau and marketplace. There were large supermarkets a short drive from the apartment. I’m very glad we chose Jonzac and not the more well-known destinations.

Modern and minimalist in a nice way. Clean, comfortable accomodation close to amenities and restaurants. The nearest restaurant was in the Casino next door. It was open on a Sunday which is a big advantage in rural France. Selection is basic but the burger I had was as good or better than any burger I have had. Reasonable prices and a pleasant bar. Limited restaurants in town but found one of very good standard. Staff could have given better advice in that regard. Breakfast in the property was quite acceptable by French standards. Coffee, Juice, yogurt, croissants, bread, cheese and ham. Staff very pleasant. Overall good value.

Nothing really to dislike. Could get the smell of cooking but it's a self catering establishment. Turning on the Aircon removed the problem.

Nice spacious apartment with a balcony and kitchen. Property is very suitable for a family. The hotel is on the same site as the aquatic centre so extremely close. 20 minute walk through the countryside to the town. Room came with passes to the main swimming pool.

As is typical in France, they ask you to clean up the room and kitchen before you leave. Outside of the hotel could do with a coat of paint.

Stayed here for a wedding 5klms away - the room was spacious and clean with air conditioning, spacious balcony with outdoor furniture. Friendly helpful staff and a lovely continental breakfast for 9 euros. Free use of the lagoon in the indoor water park for the duration of our stay. Ate at the casino 1 evening and 1 evening we had a lovely al fresco meal, steak cooked on a bbq washed down with a nice bottle of French red wine at a reasonable price, a hidden gem just a short stroll away from the apartment and past.the casino. We had a wonderful stay xx

Lack of taxi's - we booked 2 trips via the hotel reception no taxi turned up, which we later found out was quite normal for the area. Without a vehicle it was quite remote for shopping or sightseeing.

Great location. Quiet, yet close to the town and shops. Very convenient to the brilliant swimming pool, included in the cost of your stay, and to the Base de Loirs with its 2 lakes & fantastic water & zip line activities. A short stroll to both. A really French holiday location, so don't expect to meet many families from the British Isles.

The apartment was great, the only drawback was there being no oven for cooking in the kitchenette for eating in.

Limited outside space, not the warmest of welcomes. Only 2 seater sofa for 4 of us so less room for relaxing in the apartment together after I couldn’t.Got a bit noisy when guests were slamming doors next door/above and banging on the metal balcony gates understand what was asked of me in French. shame after a long journey

The size of the room, the balcony, the kitchen facilities, the mattress. Friendly welcome. There is aircon if you need it. 5-8 min walk to the beautiful town of Jonzac. Lots of parking spaces.

Everything was great except a small thing - there was no mirror in the room (308). There was one in the bathroom however.

Very clean and tide room. Fully self contained and comfortable. The room was spacious and everything easy to access.

Would be nice to have a basic tea/coffee available. The machine is there in the room but you need to bring your own ingredients.

The staff was amazing. Specially the young lady on the reception was outstanding. Jonzac is a small, almost sleeping village with great history and not far from Cognac. Charging station for EV and Phev cars
