We had visited the hotel before in 2019 and had been delighted with the atmosphere and charming decor Not stark and modern quite old hfashioned in some ways but charming comfortable and for a three start hotel well appointed There is a swimming pool which we could use and an enclosed carpark which felt very secure.(We felt quite safe leaving much of our luggage in the car overnight). Staff pleasant and helpful. Excellent breakfast.

Nothing really. The style of the hotel might not suit travellers who like solid bright colours and hard lines and corners with a sanitised look but it was perfectly clean and each room is different and it had great charm Refurb work still underway on one floor but it didnt affect our rooms and it is encouraging they want to spend money on it Quite as charming the second time round, despite the problems Covid must have caused

Lovely, clean, calm and comfy place to stay, right at the entrance of town. Has it's own free parking space. And they were very friendly when we sent them that we were arriving late for check-in. They gave us a code and instructions to enter after hours. This is overall a lovely place to stay. The two requested single beds are spacious and lovely. The entire hotel is well maintained and a great combination of modern and old-fashioned.

The self operated egg boiler at breakfast is a lovely concept that doesn't work very well for someone who isn't awake enough to read the instructions and operate it with the available raw eggs.

Breakfast was very good with a decent choice of fresh and tasty stuff. Excellent coffee set us up for the long drive to Calais. Bathroom and toilet were very nice - excellent shower! Very helpful staff and I am ashamed to say the excellent English was a real bonus. Lovely building in a quiet square in the middle of Langres (which is a stunning place). The parking was really helpful and there were lots of spaces. It was a shame the bar was not open and the restaurant was still being refurbished as with these I am sure we would rate the stay as excellent. Look forward to revisiting when the refurbishment project is complete.

A little more coffee and tea in the room would be nice and why do hotels normally have smallish bath towels?

Certainly a hotel that exceeded my expectations. Friendly staff in a lovely location in the pretty town of Langres. Hotel also has an easily accessible car park which is very useful. The Hotel is in the midst of being renovated, we had a room that had been renovated and it was very nice with an excellent bathroom.

Well as I said the hotel was being renovated so it was a little bit of a builders site, but obvioulsy that is a temporary thing. The attached bar & restaurant was also being updated so it was a shame to miss out on that , but maybe next year we will try it.

Classical French style hotel, fronting onto a typical square. We had a suite, overlooking the square, with all the luxury expected. Staff very helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast in a stylish, old fashioned breakfast room, and with Limoges crockery ! We also bought some jam. The bistro next door is due to open in days, and will add an ambiance to the square. Parking at side of hotel. Great experience. Will return.

Makes a lovely break to our journey from the UK to the Alps. We have stayed a few times before. The new management have updated the rooms recently and ours was very comfortable with an excellent shower. Very nice decor, keeping the charm of the hotel. Hostess speaks excellent English and provides a warm welcome. Good self service breakfast selection. I appreciated the tea making facilities in the room - we are English after all :)

All great thank you. Do prefer freshly made coffee rather than a machine but appreciate this would be very labour intensive....

The hotel has a historic charm that is proudly displayed throughout. The rooms were clean and well appointed, and the antique desk was a charming touch. The staff was very friendly, even helping us with storing our bags so we could explore Langres while reception was closed before we caught the train.

Shower was small, and the provided fan only ran on a timer, so we got up several times in the night to restart it.

Great location in centre of town - the rooms are characterful and in keeping yet the bathroom is very modern with both a good sized shower and jacuzzi style bath. Beds are very comfortable. Reception staff are friendly and efficient. Parking available [though this is charged as an extra - approx. 8 euros/day]

Breakfast was disappointing - for 12 euros we'd expected better quality - for example the croissants were quite dry and stale, also we had hoped for coffee and tea to be served to us - not self-service from a coffee machine, which was noisy and intrusive, detracting from the atmosphere. Think it should be more clearly noted that the on site parking has to be paid for in addition.

After seven years this was my second time at Hotel de la Poste, apparently the oldest hotel in France. My experience was even better than back then: the rooms have been upgraded, bathrooms especially, and I remember that this was a suggestion of improvement back in 2015. Everything is wonderful now, a great place. The hotel is unique in its interior and located in the heart of beautiful Langres. Parking is on the premises (paid). We forgot something in the room when we left, and the host kept it for when we came up north again. She arranged the same room for us to stay again, which was so nice. Strongly recommended!

The hotel is in a great position in the centre of Langres, although this made it a little tricky to find. The parking was a real bonus (€8) given the central position. There were various restaurants in the area. The hotel has a great old-fashioned feel, but the bathroom was modern and well equipped.

We thought breakfast was a little pricey (€12). Lots of the lightbulbs in the bathroom needed replacing so it was a bit gloomy in there.
