It is a perfect property in every way : the location , the setting , the building, architecture, decor, linens. My room was small but very comfortable . For the price, I still thought it was a great value . I also liked that it was a small enough hotel that it felt intimate .

Breakfast fantastic and the coffee. They even made gf bread for me. Room service excellent, although limited room service menu again they had gf bread and made a special croque monsieur. Breakfast room is stunning and parking so easy.

We were woken too early from a handyman above. He was noisy and painting the hallway above too early. The hotel compensated for this although I would have liked a lie-in!

The location was excellent, close to Vieux Lille, within easy walking distance of the centre and in an interesting quarter with independent shops, restaurants, cafés and bars. As the hotel was set back from the street with its own courtyard and walled garden, it was a quiet, peaceful retreat. The building is spacious and elegant with some beautiful original features, like marble fireplaces, sensitively restored with some quirky modern touches, such as the eye-catching chandeliers. our room was large, warm and thoughtfully equipped, with a super king size double bed. it was very clean the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The receptionist team was extremely helpful, polite and courteous. We felt well looked after and would recommend the hotel.

The room was too warm for us during the night so we opened the window. We ate in the restaurant on Saturday evening, and while there is no question about the skill and talent of the chef, we found the bill very expensive. The courses were creative and beautifully prepared, but too elaborate for our taste, and we found a couple of the wine pairings inappropriate.

The hotel was beautiful and each room is unique. All of the staff were so helpful and polite and the location is excellent.

It was so hot during our stay in June and the rooms don’t have air con so we found it difficult to sleep. The hotel provided a fan, but I had to cover my son in a damp towel to cool him off so he could sleep!

Location was great, rooms were comfortable, most of the staff were friendly.

Felt like it needed some money spending on maintenance. There was a broken floorboard under the carpet in my bedroom. My WC was dirty.

Disappointing that both the restaurant and bar were closed. (We stayed on a Monday evening). The ensuite bathroom was within the bedroom and not a separate room.

Our bedroom was beautiful and over looked the garden and St Catherine's Church. The hotel is really well placed and the list of recommended restaurants was a winner. The staff were very helpful before our stay.

The breakfast is nice but over priced. The building is wonderfully atmospheric but it's age comes with some creeks and rattles.

Fabulous hotel to stay at. This was our second time there and we will definitely be back again. The location is close to good restaurants and a wonderful spa! We stayed in a Privilege Double Room which was very spacious. The breakfast was great as always - love the omelet! And a special thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome!

Perfect location at walking distance of the centre. Traffic and parking can be very difficult in Lille so the option to park (and use elctric charging point) at the hotel is very convenient. Charming hotel and very friendly staff.

Rooms overlooking the street in front can be noisy in weekend nights

Great staff who were very helpful above and beyond the usual requirements. Beautiful breakfast room and good food. Comfortable bed room with a sleek bathroom.

The room was painted an unpleasant pink and looked over the street. I’d stay again but in a different coloured room with a view to the courtyard or garden. There was a lengthy debate about charging my wife for a full breakfast when all she had was a coffee.
