Very nice property in a cute town below a château. particulary good staff at dinner. Very attentive, and kind.

I was surprised there was no air-conditioning in the rooms which is normally not an issue, but it was very muggy and very stuffy, and I found myself wishing there was one. Since there were no screens on the windows, I was on the eager to risk a mosquito filled evening to get some breeze happening. It was also a strange sign in the bathroom along with a timer compelling you to ensure your shower took less than five minutes. I’m not sure if there is a drought happening in the area – it wasn’t explained to me on check in but beyond that it felt a bit - well a bit unrelaxing.

The General Manager Marie was very helpful and accommodating. She phoned us earlier in the day to confirm our ETA and was waiting for us. The price was very good and the continental breakfast superb with very friendly waiting staff. The dining area is so pretty and the rooms clean. The village of Manderen is beautiful with the chateaux looming above it and we loved the church bells tolling regularly!

A few more plugs in the rooms would help with the modern day traveller so you didn’t have to choose between the kettle, coffee machine, fridge or charger to plug in! This wasn’t a huge problem though.

The Relais is in a charming village in the countryside. The rooms have been completely modernized very recently and are quite beautiful. Best of all were the owners, who provided exceptional hospitality and really went the extra mile to accommodate us. We needed to have a rental car back to Paris by 11 AM, so, even though breakfast is not normally served until 7:00, the owner got up extra early and laid out a terrific breakfast for us so we could get on our way before 7:00. I wish we had spent more time here than just one hurried evening. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Our stay could not have been more enjoyable. The level of hospitality shown by Marie and her staff was exceptional. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. Our room was spacious and thoughtfully arranged. The breakfast was delicious. Marie also helped us with dinner reservations both evenings. She makes you feel like you are an old friend. Our time at Relais Manderen will be a treasured memory - we hope to return.

The property was very nice but what made our stay excellent was the staff. After 3 weeks touring Europe and staying in many similarly priced hotels/pensions the staff here are superior. Both the barman and waitress looked after us extremely well and made us feel very welcome. Good staff make a nice place excellent!

Cosy! Perfect little hotel in the French village, close to Germany and Luxembourg. The room we had was small-ish but we had enough space and everything was spotless. Gorgeous view of the countryside. We only had meals inside, but there is a nice dining area in the back garden as well. Great food and service. We really enjoyed our stay!

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming nothing felt like too much trouble. The beds were super comfortable probably one of the best beds I've ever slept in. Almost all of the produce they served in the restaurant was from local farms which was really nice!

Would have loved breakfast tea in the room but thats all i can think of!

Cool place, peace, quiet, countryside atmosphere, the smell of cows 🐄 , the possibility of walking. Quiet and dark at night. In the garden you can play boule, ping pong or badminton. Although the Hotel is seemingly in the middle of nowhere, it is very close to Luxemburg and the Hackenberg bunker. Despite the small number of dishes, everything is very tasty, ice cream worth recommending.

The staff were so helpful and friendly. There’s a delightful terrace where you can sit and enjoy a cold drink and /or an evening meal. Although we stayed on a Tuesday and sadly the main restaurant was closed… the light meal we had was very substantial and tasty. Excellent.
