The check-in was friendly, quick and efficient - all the staff seemed to be in a good mood permanently. The decor in the room and in public space was fresh, cheerful and a bit quirky. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable - the ensuite bathroom was especially nice. And I found a free car parking space just outside the hotel!

Could have a bit more reading light near the table in the bedroom.

Street parking was limited and garage access was a little challenging, but got good help from front desk staff.

Wat a pleasant surprise! From the outside the hotel looks like a moderate hotel. Once you enter the reception area, you are welcomed by very friendly staff. The decoration is tastefully done in bright refreshing colours. Our room was again nicely decorated with an eye for detail and small little fun elements. Wherever we went the entire hotel was immaculately clean and well maintained. The small garden with wild flowers, a prunes tree and colourful furniture and fun gadgets was a quiet oasis. Bed and bathroom facilities were good Compliments to the two young owners who run the hotel with enthusiasm and passion. Nice example that the European (French?) star classification is outdated. This classification solely looks at tangible aspects of an hotel but does not take in consideration intangible aspects like standard of service, friendliness and skills of staff nor aspects like ambiance and “guest experience”. Hence my heading “10 out of 10”

Tip: Offer a “Lunch-to-go” for those guests who are traveling on on the route Soleil Consider coffee making facilities in the room

Upon arriving we were pleasantly suprised, we felt very welcome and immediately were at ease. Our room was very clean and every room seems to have a lot fun accents, so did ours. We had a little mouse who was dryong his clothes in our room and the bathroom was very fun and clean. We got a plan of Macon and where we should go for a magasin or where the centre was. We could not fit in the parking so we parked on the street. It is a calm one way street so no problem. We stayed here on our way home, we had already visited Lyon and Beaune years ago so we wanted another place to visit. Macon did not surprise us in a good way, could be because of Covid a lot was closed and we were the only foreign tourists there that day, but this hotel was a surprise in a good way. We didn’t sightsee as much as we planned, but we rather stayed in the gorgeous garden which is completely private and calm with a small pond, complete with an own “manneken pis” and small fountain. We had an great last evening in this hotel of our holiday thanks to the host and the beautiful garden with the last sun we could soak up. Oh and the breakfast is very nice and fun! Croissant is fresh and the waffle tasted very good too! So... if you are travelling south or back north on your way home and don’t like the highway hotels or want to stretch your legs farther than the standard small stale hotel room, let your kids run free in the garden and like to be suprised in a good way? Stop here! It will not dissapoint!

A warm welcome by the young owners who were helpful with suggestions for where to go in Macon. We really liked the quiet room and comfy bed and the aircon when needed. Good location too, thank you for a lovely one night stay. Wishing you every success with your venture.

Great hosts, a hotel full of never seen before, funny and beautiful details, a very nice garden, a close walk to the city center, private parking for very reasonable costs and a very delicious breakfast.

This modest hotel has always been excellent. After its recent refurbishment it is now really excellent. Impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, with kind and attentive service

Please note that the parking lot is closed in the evening. If arriving late you need to park the car quite a bit further down the road.

Excellent position close to the city center (10min). Good size of the room, good breakfast. Excellent the possibility to get a parking place in case travelling with lot of bagagges.

Noise from the closer room, as I guess wall was not isolating ideally.
