All was good

No safe parking place, out side the hotel we were robbed, brake car windows and stealled our two computers and money. staff should inform the clients that its not safe places, and should advice the safer parking. We waisted 10 hour with police and changing the car.

Location of the hotel, breakfast and restaurant was perfect. For us, due to my wife's disease, the gluten free choices in breakfast buffet and restaurant worth mentioning. We have no problem in communication in English with the receptionists, they speak very well English. One of the receptionist lady (whom I am so sorry not to take her name) was very helpful in understanding our areas of interest and advising accordingly some places in Marseille. The size of the room was very sufficient (even more than our expectations) with a large bathroom and very efficiently working shower (except the shower gel, shampoo and hair conditioner trio set which was not working properly and it must be rethought to use a bar soap in a city which is famous with their soaps).

Cleanness of general areas (especially carpets, even in the room, dust on top of the lighting elements etc) can be improved. Some small renovation may be needed for some furniture in the room such as the table and the loose table lamp hats. The rest of the receptionists (other than the lady that I mentioned above) were not very knowledgeable neither places to go nor their ways of transportation. We had some difficult times to tell our room number to most of the waiters when entering the breakfast room (like some other visitors).

Friendliness of the staff who couldn’t have been more helpful. The position of the hotel overlooking the Vieux Port was excellent with many bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The food was also amongst the best we ate during our stay.

The shower over the bath was very difficult to use. I am 78 and had an accident on the train to Marseille which damaged my arm and required stitches, the handrails on the bath were in the wrong position to enable me to climb safely into the bath and the ‘non slippery’ part of the bath was too close to the taps.

The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful, perhaps the friendliest I have ever met during my time in France. Great location, big room, convenient and safe parking. I forgot my toothbrush, the staff brought it over promptly. Will definitely stay here again next time I am in Marseille.

Parts of the hotel seem to be being refurbished? Both rooms smelled like new renovations so we had to open the windows for fresh air. But it just a minor problem, I am quite satisfied with my stay.

When our family tried to reach us out from Türkiye, we were not transferred or notified. Our family was very worried because of the protests so it was an extraordinary time. I wish they had led us know right that time because our fam could not sleep and waited to hear from us while we were staying at the hotel that moment. Very briefly, they shud have transferred the call or notified us. ( our fam couldnt reach us because our phone were silent, so they called the hotel.)

I am rather surprised by some of the mixed-to-negative comments made regarding this hotel. I was genuinely impressed by it. The room was excellent, breakfast was fantastic, the location was perfect, and the staff members were generally kind and professional.

Some staff members (mostly those in the restaurant) could learn how to be more welcoming. This is not the hotel's fault, but several nearby areas and streets are infested with rats.

The staff was over-the-top. Amazing! We arrived from an international flight early and our room was not ready. However, they were able to give us a beautiful suite as we only had about 16 hours until our next flight back home. It was a great way to spend our last day! We enjoyed Marseille and everything was very walkable from the location of the hotel. My cousin came and joined us for lunch and we enjoyed the food. I would highly recommend Hotel Blu!

Excellent location! Close to many restaurants and shops. We were able to check in 45 mins early, and our room was lovely, very spacious with a beautiful view of the harbour. Housekeeping was very attentive and brought us extra coffee for the room. The pool was a great addition and had beautiful views. I would definitely stay here again!

VERY minor wear and tear in room, but didn’t affect our stay at all. I know the hotel is having a renovation in October :)

The hotel's location is excellent, located on the Bay of Marseille and close to most of the tourist attractions that can be reached on foot. The staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast in the restaurant is varied and simple. I felt comfortable during my stay.

Great room with a beautiful outside terrace overlooking port. Careful the "suite" we had booked was not one with a separation which is what we had requested as were travelling with a teenager. Good breakfast and great location. Nice pool area

That the room we had was not a suite even though it had the best terrace of the hotel. it seems to be the only room which is organized like this so great for a romantic weekend but not with a teen.
