The location was next to the japanese garden perfect as we visited it that day they put us in a room overlooking the garden . Kettle in the room so could make tea would take your own tea bags if you are from yorkshire we only had a standard room .Dinner was amazing there was not a huge choice but everything was lovely and the choice was not not a problem to us the4 of us all had different . Bed was very comfortable

The gates into the chateau courtyard are narrow but our car fitted fine our friends motor home was a liittle lwide so after entering the chateau grounds they were directed to a carpark just at the side of the courtyard this isnt really a dislike just an important feature for anyone with a wider vdhicle

This is an absolute gem of a hotel. Our third visit and just as good, if not better than the first. The restaurant is superb, the quality of the food and ingredients grown on site in the award-winning kitchen garden are truly outstanding. The views over the Japanese gardens are stunning and make for a really special but affordable stopover en route back to the UK. The gardens are worth taking the time to visit in their own right.

Parts of the hotel are in need of a refresh. While the main dining rooms/restaurant is elegant and full of charm, the buffet breakfast is served in a small, airless space on the first floor which seems like a missed opportunity, given the charm of the rest of the hotel.

We had a lovely stay in a Prestige double room at Chateau Colbert. Rooms are spacious very high ceilings and beautiful views of the oriental gardens. We enjoyed our breakfast buffet served in a room on the 2nd floor. A special mention to the BEAUTIFUL restaurant with IMPECCABLE service open for lunch and dinner with reasonable prices. Service takes place in two different rooms: the center one has wood panels, and the front one is brighter with light colors. Both dining rooms are splendid. Overall Chateau Colbert has the most beautiful dining rooms we ever experienced in any chateau, and our stay was an excellent value.

-Rooms do not have air conditioning. -Although rooms are accessible by elevator, it would have been nice to receive help with the luggage upon check-in. -Note that all waiters displayed an excellent level of professionalism, except for one of them who was definitely sloppy and could not even compare.

Fabulous location next to the Parc Oriental (which we visited). Room was ready early and had a view over the park. Free entry to the Chateau vegetable garden, which was very worth seeing. Excellent restaurant. Breakfast OK but not special for the cost. Parking very close to the building with easy access to the rooms by a lift. Nice period decor to room, with modern bathroom.

The bathroom : mirror facing the toilet, large leather pouf impeding access to shower. In the room the large curtain blind was difficult to use (although only necessary if you wanted to keep the windows open at night).

My stay at the chateau was without a hitch. We booked supper long in advance, and it was worth every cent. Breakfast was also great. I highly recommend this place.

One little thorn: as we arrived, I enquired from reception about the oriental garden next door. She could have warned me that it closes one hour before actual closing time, which would have meant that I could still have experienced it. As it were, I arrived 5 minutes late and missed the visit!

Lovely old château. The largest room with historical decor is very spacious and the bathroom and toilet area are renovated. The dinner, which requires reservation, is amazing! The breakfast room is lovely too.

This place is a bit hard isolated in an uninteresting town. Good if you just want to find a retreat for a short stay.

We had a lovely room on the 2nd floor overlooking the Oriental Park, wide french windows opened onto this view from the room’s alcove. Wonderful shower. Definitely order the 12 euro breakfast. The service during the buffet style petit déjeuner was attentive and unobtrusive. The staff overall, courteous and knowledgable.. Though dinner was available, we chose to eat at a restaurant on nearby Ribou Lake. Pretty countryside during the 10 minute drive to get there.

Nothing really, it exceeded all expectations.

A spacious and grand building in a wonderful location

The property is terrific. My only criticisms are:- The breakfast coffee is from an automatic capsule type dispenser. I would much prefer real ground coffee in a cafetière. I would have liked a proper pepper grinder on the dining tables - ground pepper is not as good.

Very comfortable room and beautifully furnished with amazing views over the gardens, which are spectacular - particularly the potager garden. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and the dining room is stunning.

Beautiful old chateau loaded with character. Room was so cute with a high curved roof! Staff were lovely and very accommodating when we only arrived as the kitchen was due to close. The restaurant is excellent and great value for money
