A lovely ambulance and decor was really really good. The staff were friendly.

We were awoken at 3 o’clock in the morning by the sound of the heating system, water pumping, and a very loud continuous noise coming from a vent in the bathroom. It was the worst nights sleep that we have ever had in any hotel in any part of the world on the positive side when we told the receptionist and she listened to a recording of the noise that I made they did make a small reduction in the bill. Essentially gave us breakfast. Saying that the breakfast was mediocre. I would not normally complain about anything in a hotel, but I felt I had to in this one because it was such a letdown and we had a very very busy day with no sleep.

We had booked a standard double room, however, it had a torn carpet , which I tripped on. We spoke to reception and they immediately up-graded us to a junior suite! This was a far nicer room with plenty of space, a sofa and a lovely en suite. Parking on site is free and plentiful. There is also a spa and swimming pool which we did not use. The Abbaye is within easy walking distance of the town and its bars and eateries, plus it has its own bar and restaurant which we used and liked.

We weren’t impressed with the standard double room we had been allocated, aside from the torn carpet, it was very dark and dull.(we also noticed that the room was re-issued to someone else and could see the tear in the carpet still there).

The location was great, a short walk into town. The Abbye is a beautiful historic building with convenient private parking. There is restaurant and bar on site. There was also a pool area with sun loungers. Perfect for an overnight stop albeit a bit pricey.

The room smelt stale. The extractor fan in the toilet was noisy. And toiletries for a four star spa hotel were distinctly lacking. There was only a dispenser for a generic shower gel/shampoo in the shower and by the bath.

Absolutely loved our stay. Pool was immaculate and heated a bit so enjoyable even when raining (kids insisted!) breakfast was soooo good. High quality foods and plenty of choice. Beds were crazy comfy with a vast selection of pillows. Shower was divine and soap provided was nice on my skin. Staff so lovely - didn’t mind at all we checked in late allowing us to drive while our kids were sleeping. Highly recommend and will be back.

A stunning hotel, full of artistic treasures and beautiful decor throughout. We stayed in one of the privilege rooms on the first floor; a lovely, clean room, big comfortable bed, peaceful and quiet. The outside spaces are lovely too. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from the Place Nationale in the town centre. Montauban is a lovely town, great little shops in the centre and more friendly people. Can’t wait to return and we’ll be staying at the Abbaye des Capucins again.

Magnificent, breathtaking views of the port below! Staff is kind, professional, and chef personally prepared meals for us. The pool is gorgeous, with equally spectacular views. Rooms are immaculate with spa like immenities. This small family owned 26 guest resort won’t disappoint!

The hotel access road is thrilling to say the least… 1 mile up with 13 hair pin turns, 2 hard rights, and 2 hard lefts… one car width the whole way… hundreds of feet drop on the cliff side with no guardrail! 😳

Restaurant was rather cramped and some waitresses a little unsure of what was on offer… not enough training or too few staff.

Need to include up to date directions on booking confirm. Town Centre had long term roadworks so sat nav useless. No mention of this when rang reception earlier. When rang reception around 21.00 there was no answer! Bad start.

A lovely property in very good condition - beautifully restored Abbey. Loved my room which had a small balcony with a view over the roof toward the river (hidden by trees) The room, bed and bathroom were all excellent Location is convenient to the motorway

A little hard to find until you know where the car park and entrance are. The road frontage is very nondescript. Could do with more signage.

the hotel was beautiful immaculate, lovely style. bed so comfy and restaurant and staff very friendly and helpful ,the food was lovely too, I can not fault it , we stayed on way to spain ,and loved it so much ,we booked again on way back, great value for money too

Everything! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a small suite which was perfect for my wife and son. The restaurant had excellent food. The hotel was just a short walk to the center of Montauban.

This was our first visit to Montauban, so we had some difficulty finding the narrow entrance way to the interior parking area. Once the construction is done on the hotel extension, I am sure that issue will be resolved.
