Although this fronted onto a nasty busy main road, this hotel was a little gem. It has obviously been somebody's private home, as many of the furnishings were antique or vintage (? from original owner) We were made very welcome, and the de luxe suite we stayed in was very spacy, with a huge and luxurious ensuite bathroom. The bed was enormous. We had coffee making facilities, and a separate seating area to watch television. The back of the hotel had a large garden, and parking. Breakfast was very good.

Access to the parking at the back of the hotel was via an electronic gate, rather narrow, and only allowed you 30 seconds to negotiate your way in or out, before starting to close again? a broken sensor? The area offers little, apart from being close to the station at Montauban, but not too far to walk into town.

Excellent Central accommodation, with Central location. Parking and Breakfast included. Veroniqie is welcoming and informative. She is an English teacher, so no problems there. 😊 Her healthy Breakfast with homemade Jams and Yogurt was amazing. The place itself is v comfortable and quaint with an interesting mix of old and modern. Obviously an old if not historic house which has been lovingly restored and maintained with many original features, such as doors in the Radiators, for keeping Plates hot. The name refers to the battle fought by the Royal Bourbons there, over the local Cathedral. How could a place called " Vanille Bourbon " not be fantastic.

We arrived on a Sunday at the height of the heatwave and the ac was very welcome, as was the lovely safe private parking and the beautiful characterful property and room. Veronique helped us find an excellent Asian restaurant the Baie 'd'Along with a 5 minute walk, which as delicious and such good value.

Location - while well located to station, did not pay justice to the lovely Vanille Bourbon hotel. Very dull surroundings - streetwise.

Really helpful hostess and very friendly and accommodating. Really tasty breakfast too! Great facilities with access to a fridge and microwave - just what we needed for baby food.

Floorboards extremely creaky! Not a big issue if you are not trying to put a baby to sleep!

Great location for an overnight stay whilst travelling home through France by car. Private off road parking and just a 10 minute stroll from the the old part of Montauban which offers a good selection of bars and restaurants. Very welcoming and helpful host, large comfortable bedroom with a big internal bathroom. Breakfast was excellent!

Great host. Great breakfast! Place to store our bikes and car. Lovely house. Great rooms with character. The floors creaked in the rooms, but it is part of the character. The proprietor had a map to use of the city, which was very helpful.

I loved the beautifully preserved house and the elegant 70s atmosphere the owner has achieved. Extremely comfortable.

There was nothing I didn’t like about the property.

Breakfast was very nice fresh fruit croissants bread and preserves The host Veronique was most helpful and accommodating even offered to drive us to the restaurant Room was nicely furnished and comfortable

Our host was very friendly and the property was very relaxing and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of everything. An excellent night's stay.
