Lydie the proprietress was so friendly and accommodating. We had been traveling all day when we finally arrived and decided to eat at the hotel. What delicious food! The cabicou salad was the best goat cheese salad I have eaten and the duck breast done to perfection. Breakfast was outstanding with scrambled eggs to order that were so tasty. It was an easy walk to the Lascaux caves which we came to visit. Although our room overlooked the main road it was very quiet!

At bit cold for our tastes but as it was early fall the heat had not been turned on. The towel warmer in the bathroom soon gave enough heat to take off the chill.

The hotel is in a calm, safe location, about 600 metres from the centre of Montignac. With good car parking and a pleasant garden and terrace. The new proprietors are good hosts and make their guests welcome, very responsive to individual requests. The dinner provided to me, and two guests, was exceptional, without question the best cuisine available in Montignac at present (having lived there previously).

Nothing - I shall certainly stay here again.

We booked last minute and wasn’t disappointed, from the moment we got there the lady could not have been nicer or more helpful. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. We ended up having our evening meal there and the food was fabulous! We had an excellent evening, we would highly recommend this hotel and the food there!

There was nothing not to like

Lovely big room and great hotel. Nice bar and restaurant area but this wasn't open during our stay. The kids loved the big garden with the trampoline and swings. Only a short walk into the beautiful town of Montignac. Really friendly staff made us feel welcome.

The sofa bed was a little bit small for two of us to share comfortably.

Amazing hostess, who spoke enough English for us to get by with our pitiful French. A great place to visit the Lascaux caves. Nice French continental breakfast and a cordon bleau dinner. The chef must be really top notch to produce food like that. A small family friendly hotel- as good as it gets.

Location super for Lascaux. Room good size updated. Bathroom with multi spray shower. Towels good, tea and coffee in room. Breakfast good, evening food menu good and genial host. Free parking and reasonably close to town.

Lovely property on the edge of the village clean & modern with a shabby chic touch!! Can’t be more helpful / even gave us a lift to our wedding drinks party when we couldn’t get a taxi

Coming home late from a wedding there didn't seem any sign of any food places that may be open. Perhaps a little more information about very local places or the ability to order some light bites out of hours at the bar.

The people from hotel was very friendly and helpful. So was also my late arriving no problem! I am a vegan and they were very concerned, that I get enough to eat. A wonderful place near the prehistoric caves, very lovingly furnished and looked after by two very caring and attentive hosts! Thank you very much and I would love to come back!

Convenient, comfortable, parking, warm welcome, relaxed, good dining and breakfast, slept well. Lascaux IV is just down the road so well placed.

It rained! But nothing not to like.
