Good room. Restaurant was a pleasant experience, though service was initially a little slow. Location of the hotel could not be better. This is somewhere that we want to return to for a longer stay.

It proved impossible to use wifi on my computer, only on my phone and my wife's phone. The connection simply wouldn't allow me to sign up. On arrival, I was offered a ground floor room, though I had booked a lake view room on an upper floor. The reason given was that booking.com had only paid 83 euros. It transpired that the hotel staff had mistakenly taken £83 as 83 euros instead of 97 euros. Fortunately there was a lake view room still available.

Having read previous reviews, I was worried the hotel would be a bit tired - but not a bit of it! This is a smart, well-equipped, comfortable and well-located hotel. Our room (203) was on the first floor near the stairs - very convenient for our dog. The room was comfortable (although only one chair) and had a well-equipped shower room. Breakfast (on the ground floor in a room with views of the lake) was excellent with plenty to choose from. Ample parking. The location overlooking the lake was quiet, but within a few steps of the main street leading to the town centre. The Tourist Office is well worth visiting for its range of material and good shop. Above all, the Museum of the Resistance and Deportations is not to be missed. A monument to the deportations is across the road from the hotel.

We had booked a double room overlooking the garden with a bath tub … but the view was mainly the car park, and we had a shower. The tables at breakfast are a little awkward; if you’re a couple, plump for one with chairs opposite each other - or one of you won’t be able to get your legs under the table.

Lovely hotel overlooking the lake. Our room was well-equipped and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful, although coffee came from a machine. Dog friendly … and good walks from the doorstep. The location is its selling point; it’s at the quiet end of the lakeside road, yet it takes just a few minutes to walk into the town. This is our second stay and we shall certainly return.

Right over the road from lake with great views,comfortable rooms very clean with good bedding/bed,restaurant was 1st class food was excellent ,service was quick and helpful,would stay again.not many other options for eating out,nice little bar on side of lake about 250 mts away with reasonable prices,good secure parking.

Could not get the €38-50 menu as this was the best value

beautifully located on the lake Nantua. great spot for a night stay. really enjoyed a morning walk with my dog around the lake. also the restaurant is very good with a fair priced menu. even though the staff speaks little English, they made sure to accommodate me.

when I returned from my morning walk, before checking out, my room was open and housekeeping was already in there.

Well located hotel, clean functional rooms with great showers. Very impressive restaurant. Really smart, delicious French food. Good value set menu at 38.5 euros for 5 courses. Waiting staff incredibly professional and attentative. We stayed here on our way back to the UK from skiing. At 2 hours from the resort, it was the perfect location.

No discernable difference between the rooms, though we paid different rates.

Location was nice and convenient for overnight stop off the autoroute. Agreeable small village next to the lake with nice views. Modern, well run hotel with a good atmosphere.

Rooms quite small and functional, but clean and perfectly adequate for an overnight stay.. Restaurant a bit expensive but good service. Breakfast room in need of refurbishment following what looked like flood damage, but a good breakfast nevertheless.

Two outstanding things. The situation right on the edge of the Lac de Nantua with excellent paths to walk round and enjoy the views. And the restaurant which adds modern touches to traditional dishes. The portions are delicate and are packed with taste. Great wine list and good service. Spectacular views across the lake. Good breakfast. Close to the autoroute.

Breakfast was superb, lady who was around the breakfast room very polite. All fresh produce, good choice.

I only can drink decaf coffee, luckily I brought my own. Otherwise plenty of choice for everyone. Toilet in bedroom a little tight to sit down, due to wall in front.

Nice hotel in a lovely and smart position, in front of a beautiful lake and close to the motorway. Good breakfast buffet, nice staff.

A little more attention to some details, we were out of hand soap and toilet paper although paper tissues and shower soap were at hand.
