Hotel Le G (ex Le Geneve)

The hotel staff were extremely helpful, friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and responded very quickly to any messages I sent before my arrival regarding transportation from the train station to their hotel. My room was quiet, clean, and spacious enough for me as a single traveler. The location was incredible, close to tram stops, the port, Old Town, the city's center, the promenade, restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping. Everything was so easy to access from the Hotel Le G. location.

The only thing I did not like was the bed, as I felt it was uncomfortable and low to the floor. The other thing was that the shower was very small, and for a large person, this would have been a problem. I would still stay here again because everything else was so perfect. Other rooms may have different beds or showers. The water pressure, however, was excellent, so for me, I did not mind the small shower space.

The hotel is located just by the edge of the old town and the busy bar area. This is a small but comfortable hotel with a very nice café that serves a generous breakfast (not included). The rooms have AC and are pretty small but comfortable and clean. This is a busy area in the afternoon and evening but does not bother you in the late hours. The service is very friendly and accommodating. Close to the tram and the Promenade des Anglais that can take you to the shopping area of central Nice.

No parking or a place to even stop your car to drop off your luggage. But we found a parking spot not too far away, and you cannot expect anything else in a french city with busy, narrow streets.

The hotel location is excellent with easy access to the port, old town and the promenade. Lots of lovely bars, cafes and restaurants to choos from. Two restaurants we enjoyed were Peixes Opéra and Comptoir du Marche (in fact we went there twice it was so nice). Daniel the host is an excellent asset to the hotel, always cheerful, friendly and a great source of information about the locality.

The rooms can be noisy if at the front but closing the window stops the noise well but you do need the air con to avoid room getting too hot.

Great hotel and fabulous location in the old town, super close to the train station. Surrounded by lots of bars, restaurants so plenty of options on the doorstep. Staff were super friendly & breakfast was a great addition to start the day. The room had a large window & a juliet balcony so lots of light and windows that opened fully too, so lots of fresh air. The wifi was super quick and the small fridge was super useful too. Great little find, will definitely recommend to everyone!

The shower cubicle was small, but luckily it did have a very powerful shower!

Great place to stay, tram line, beach is nearby, all the city Cafes on the corner too. Great staff, clean and tidy room, exceptional interior, stylish place for an extraordinary people to stay. Highly recommend it!

At night the noises from the alley were disturbing (street cleaning mashines were bumping cointainers so loudly that it woke us up), however, the hotel located in a heart of Nice and potential noises shuld not be surprising visitors.

The location is the absolute win here, it’s so close to old town, the port and the tram station so really convenient. It felt really safe and secure. The staff were really kind every time we spoke to them, and let us leave our bags early / pick them up late for our flight home. We had a twin room which was spacious for the two of us and overall there were good facilities. It’s in a busy area but we rarely heard any noise. All round a really good stay and we will return when we’re back in the area. Nice, small, friendly local hotel.

Nothing really - shower could have been a double but the bathroom was really nice.

The two gentlemen running the hotel were fantastic. They provide the customer service of a five star hotel. They are extremely helpful, kind, warm, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Daniel was a super hero in helping to print boarding passes when my phone broke and went out of his way to help. The hotel has a beautiful interior design, very cool, quirky and unique. The room was cleaned to an exceptional standard every day. Plenty of hot water in a powerful shower, and the air conditioning was a god send. Our room overlooked a bustling side street with plenty of cafes and restaurants in beautiful old traditional buildings. At night, all goes quiet on the street outside and we slept soundly. The hotel is located right in the centre of vibrant and cultural Garibaldi, with tram and bus stops within a stone’s throw. The market on Sunday was fabulous and we enjoyed strolling to the Cr Salaya and beach via the narrow charming streets of the old town. I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to return soon!

Nothing! Everything was wonderful

The location is outstanding….right by Place Garibaldi, and a short walk to the old port and down through the lanes of the old town to the waterfront. The hotel staff were lovely….really helpful and friendly. We loved our room (No. 7) with its funky rose wallpaper, pink armchair and two big windows (double glazed) overlooking the street. Loads of restaurants nearby.

The wifi was erratic, but that was the fault of roadworks which are nearing completion.

Amazing location: everything is walking distance or well connected by trams. The staff was very welcoming and the check in and out was so easy (they also stored our luggage as we had a late flight back home). Cleanliness was on point! We would very gladly return to the same hotel when visiting Nice next time.

Everything was great, I just wish the air condition had more options to choose from, but I am really nitpicking now! Nothing that affected our stay.

Absolutely incredible location! On the Garaboldi Square and just off a street with tons of bars, cafes and restaurants but still quiet when sleeping at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very close to the metro and the beach so you could get everywhere you wanted very fast. Would happily come back to stay; and would highly recommend it to anyone travelling to Nice!

The air conditioner worked very well, but did leak.
