Highlight of our stay was the impeccable service by their wonderful staff. Reception helped us book visits at Lynch-Bages and Gruaud Larose and made us feel welcome even before we ended up at the hotel. Upon arriving, everyone from reception to the porters to the cleaning staff had a smile on their faces and were exceedingly kind. We were given a free upgrade to the Junior Suite to our surprise. A much larger room in comparison to the one we had booked. We also really enjoyed the pool and the delicious food at Cafe Lanival, a short walk away from the hotel.

I think the bathroom of the Junior Suite we stayed in was not newly renovated like some of the bathrooms in the photos I saw here on Booking. Nonetheless, it was spacious and rather clean. And my husband was very happy to have the larger room.

No atmosphere in hotel no bar area . Traditional chateau but decor very modern .. a bit of a clash Could not have a simple lunch or dinner as a result everyone away during day and no atmosphere

The hotel is set right in the vineyards. It was wonderfully quiet and relaxing and the staff were superb. Although the restaurant is currently closed the associated bistro in the village is only a couple of minutes walk and the food there was superb. The pool was perfect and the loungers very comfortable. The bed was exceedingly comfortable too. Thoroughly recommended hotel.

Why don’t French hotels learn from the Spanish ones and include breakfast in the room rate? We skipped it because having paid do much already we weren’t prepared to pay nearly 60 euros for the two of us to eat breakfast.

Cordeillan Bages is beautiful, gorgeous furnishings and art work and set in a peaceful location amid vines. The staff are impeccable, friendly and helpful. Our upgrade to a suite close to the amazing pool was much appreciated since the restaurant remains closed for the season so a short walk is required to dine at the associated Cafe Lavinal in Bages village.

A hotel at this standard of Relais et Château really needs to offer a fine dining restaurant on site. There are few good quality restaurants close by and I think guests staying longer than a couple of nights would tire of the choice on the brasserie menu or having to get in the car to eat.

Great castle hotel with friendly personnel and very convenient facilities. Nice breakfasts with a view to a domestic grape yards. The best place at Medoc peninsula, we are second time there

It is located near the first growths. Garden was beautiful and you are literally having breakfast next to the vineyard. The view is great. The chateau is beautiful with big famous bottles for us to catch a photo.

The restaurant was closed since covid..

Location location location and friendly of the staff. They made reservations at an outstanding restaurant for us and drove us back to the train station the following morning

Nothing. What I didn’t like was that we had to leave to continue our journey

Breakfast buffet spread was very good. Loads of selection of breads, ham, cheese and jams. Staff were a big help and check in went without a hitch. Very efficient. 2 bedroom suite was huge with a sitting area, 2 huge bathrooms and an outdoor terrace.

Main restaurant was not open yet during our stay but they directed us to a very nice bistro for dinner just 5 mins walk away. Breakfast is still served at the hotel though.

Quiet, shower pressure excellent. Bed comfortable. Size of room good.

Our room 24 was lovely but it definitely had not be used in a while. Sweets were out of date, dust on the glasses and the shower had a very bad drain smell and the pillows were uncomfortable. Breakfast was not value for money and no music playing. No hot food apart from boiled eggs. bedside tables too far from bed.

nice location and wonderful atmosphere. we especially appreciated the coffee and pastries to go when we didn’t have time for breakfast when checking out. it was really thoughtful!
