Comfortable individually furnished and spacious room in a little chateau with great views and direct access onto the parc. Outdoor Pool, a haven of peace. Good breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and scrambled eggs. We were able to check in upon arrival, in the morning. Parking available without reservation. Giles the intendant is a fantastic host. He sends a list of recommended restaurants in the area well in advance. He also arranged for us a free wine tasting at Chateau Lynch-Bages the next morning which was a great experience, we learned a lot about this leading vignoble.
Everything was perfect. Maybe one small detail: the outdoor pool was very cold, definitely not heated.

We had an amazing stay for two nights - hosted by the wonderful Gils - was so helpful - attentive. Staying in the chateau was an unreal experience. - we had a beautiful warm sunny room - it was lovely to have the shutter options open or closed. Breakfast was spectacular - the facilities so impressive - the pool was delightful - The Lynch Bages winery tour was amazing - and Gils also made bookings for us at Cafe Lavinal for lunch - do these two things if you stay here as its impressive. Gils helped us with everything we needed in the kitchen as we had provisions for one of the nights - they even did all of our washing which was so lovely of them - wine was left and access to beer - payment on check out and so wonderful to wander through the property - front door easy to use - loved meeting the chateaus cat bebe. It was so amazing to wake to vineyard staff working away as the sun rose - everything is close to Ormes De Pez - in a great part of St Estephe. Loved the coffee machine in the room. Thank you Gils for a great visit and so nice to meet you.
Just know there are no lifts in the chateau - it would ruin it to have it - but maybe organise bags if yours are heavy like ours were as we were away for 6 weeks - we managed the spiral stairs

Chateau Ormes de Pez is a great place to stay when exploring the Medoc region in Bordeaux. Giles is a generous and welcoming host and was very helpful sharing information about local wineries and helping with winery tours and other bookings and making our stay truly memorable. Our stay with other members of our family was very special here - the rooms are lovely and we were lucky with the weather, and we were able to enjoy time by the relaxing pool. This is a beautiful home to stay in - book it and you will be very glad you did! We ate out at restaurants recommended by Giles and these were very good. We also decided to have a night in and as a party of 7, we chose to eat in the dining room with a delicious (pre-prepared by a chef off-site and set up by Giles) light, cold meals which was perfect as some of our group were leaving very early the next day. The Medoc region is wonderful and worth having a few days in if you like visiting wineries!

Beautiful chateaux in a very secluded spot total peace and tranquility. Beautiful pool and gardens lots of vineyards around to admire. The manager was very friendly and helpful and kindly recommend restaurants, wine tours and nice local wines to try. The bedroom was stunning, spotless and very comfortable. The pillows were like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom was clean with a powerful shower. They provide a fridge in the kitchen for you to store some food as it's not close to restaurants. Free bicycle hire available.

Encroyable!! This is a beautiful chateaux. The rooms are huge and there's lots of communical space to use but still feel like you're the only ones there. We basically had the whole place to ourselves, great sized pool out the back and free bikes to use to visit the local vineyards. The châteaux managers are very kind and helpful. They made the tastiest scrambled eggs I've ever had. Do not miss their breakfast - I cannot stress that enough. Helluva wine cellar too. Can't recommend highly enough.

An amazing place in the middle of vineyards. The chateau has fantastic 5 rooms with a lot of authentic charm, very nice decorations everywhere, no kitch. There’s a nice common saloon that can be used, a big terrace with outdoor sofas and a huge garden with another set of seats under really nice old trees. Therese a nice swimming pool too. A very good breakfast is served in a nice dining room or terrace during summer. The keepers, in particular Gilles, are just great. They do everything to make the guest feel confortable and fulfilled. They proposed nice restaurants and give best tips for visiting other wine producers. Don’t hesitate to ask for their wine, they always have also half bottles to enjoy a little apéro. Gilles is also a big connaisseur of the wine production and the Bordeaux region in general so you become even more passionate about wine when talking to him. It’s just an amazing place, will for sure go back!!
Nothing.

This property is absolutely gorgeous and the pictures don’t do it justice. My kids loved running around the expansive outdoor area filled with beautiful trees. Amazing wine list to be enjoyed on the outside patio. Rooms are very spacious with a nice coffee maker and breakfast is amazing. The host prepared us some cold items for the evening to eat since going out for dinner with two small kids isn’t fun (make request weeks in advance). We appreciated this so much. I cannot say enough nice things about our stay. Beautiful pool as well. Amazingly decorated house and nice free chocolates. They also have board games! So much fun!
Nothing! Sad I didn’t stay longer. Maybe consider to get a hot tub to go with the pool for the fall and winter.

The house was beautiful inside out. The room was spacious, with all the necessary amenities such a Nespresso machine, a large comfortable bed, a TV, and a nice bathroom. The windows overlooked the green. grassy backyard. The breakfast was delicious and included a nice spread of breads, cheeses (including a 36 month aged comte during my stay. And mind you, a 36 month aged comte is not something you can just buy from a regular grocery store), cured meats, yogurt with fruits, juice, scrambled eggs, and coffee. Certain items might change depending on the day. If you would like to bike around, you can borrow a bike free of charge if available. In fact, I biked to a chateau for wine tasting one afternoon. It was quite pleasant to bike around. What made the stay even more pleasant was Gilles, the manager. He was so helpful and very accommodating. I rented an electric car (which in hindsight was a mistake) and needed to charge it. Because there were no nearby fast charging stations (there was one 15-16 min away, but it would take 5 hours to charge the car from 50% to 100%), he offered to hook the car up to a wall outlet inside the guesthouse. While the charging speed was slow, it was convenient, as I could leave the car charging overnight.
Two things: I wish there was a hairdryer (actually it might be and I wish the bathtub had a curtain or a glass door to prevent water splatters during showers. But neither was a deal breaker. This is definitely a property I will stay at again in the future!
