Mas Valentine is a picture-perfect Provence farmhouse located just a few minutes outside of the town of St. Remy. The location is truly a perfect home base for exploring Provence. Our room was clean, with air conditioning (necessary in the summer, in my opinion!), a lovely pool, and a sauna and whirlpool that can be privately booked for an hour at a time. The breakfast included each day was incredible––a gorgeous array of pastries, eggs and bacon, fruit, yogurt, juices and coffee. Our absolute favorite part of our stay, though, was meeting Marie Anne. She is so warm, friendly, and helpful, and she truly made our stay at Mas Valentine unforgettable.

I truly loved everything about Mas Valentine!

From the moment I spoke to the manager Marie Anne on the phone I knew we were in safe hands. A beautifully renovated Provencal house, Mas Valentine provides a spectacular 'home away from home' while in Provence. With just 11 rooms, it feels like a home. The bedrooms are all a good size with lovely bathrooms. Decorative details are stunning - pale oak floors in the bedrooms, limestone in the bathrooms and communal areas. The breakfast was superb, the swimming pool fabulous. The sauna and jacuzzi are a treat and can be booked for private use. The staff couldn't have been nicer and provide a list of restaurants in the nearby town where dinner can be taken.

We loved the location just outside of Saint Remy. The staff were wonderful. The pool and outdoor space for breakfast were beautiful.

The suites were a little dull. Bathrooms were great, but it lacked character and needed some pictures on the walls and the furniture was dated. Bigger isn't better unless it comes with some comfortable sitting space. It was bare. But we loved it all the same. AC worked great and the bed was comfortable.

The location was excellent. The Mas itself was picturesque. Our room was large, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was a major surprise, not just continental, but they also offered, scrambled eggs and bacon.

The Mas closes its doors at night, and we were not aware of that when we booked. However they ensured that a key was there so that we could go into our room as we arrived late.

The breakfast set-up and terrace was the perfect way to start your day. The pool was very relaxing - always plenty of sun beds available. Great location to St Remy however highly recommend hiring a car as it was an easy 5 minute drive into town. We stayed in a villa and loved it but there were a lot of mosquitos around. It would have been great to have some repellent/candles available.

Beautiful peaceful property with room to walk or relax. Large swimming pool to exercise or just cool off. About a 45 minute walk to cafes or bars but it’s a scenic walk. We were met by warm and helpful hosts, Mary Ann and I’m sorry I cannot remember the others. But everyone was wonderful. This property will be on our next list of places to return.

Everything! The property is beautiful, the staff are brilliant - always there, very helpful, so friendly. The shower was wonderful. The breakfast was delicious, great choice, very fresh, always more than enough of everything available - staff were constantly refilling everything. Eating breakfast on the terrace was what provencal dreams are made of! The pool was also fabulous. They don’t have a restaurant but offer charcuterie type platters at any time, which we availed of on the day of arrival and it was excellent! We will be back - this place is a slice of heaven.

Everything was wonderful!

From the moment we’ve arrived to the very last minute of our stay our experience was fantastic. The lady which I believe is the manager was extremely helpful and went above and beyond booking us transportation (the location is beautiful however it is slightly outside the city centre so if you don’t have a car you will struggle - but we did not know - so GET A CAR they have a large on site parking) and showed us around even though we were only staying one night. She really made us feel welcome. The room size is more than decent. Ours had aircon, a great bathroom with both a bath and a shower. The bed was so comfy and the room so quiet. They come with a tiny cute little “private” outside area to enjoy some morning sun. There is also a sauna, a jacuzzi and a large pool. All the facilities are clean and there’s also complimentary water and coffee in the rooms. Mas Valentine is a peaceful little place and is the exact definition of the Provençal Mas we’ve all been reading about in novels from the gardens, to the smells, sounds, friendly residents, architecture and food. And finally - It is an amazing value for the price. We will 100% be back. MERCI!

It’s a beautiful property tastefully restored and decorated. The room was well appointed Andrew balcony provides a lovely view over the terrace and the three stunning trees, the bathroom has everything you need and is beautifully decorated. The pool is a very lovely place to relax and enjoy the sun and also the gardens. It’s however the staff the really made this property so so special, helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and making Mas Valentine feel like a home from home.

The room was spacious and the bathroom was beautifully designed. The staff were very friendly and we appreciated the list of suggested restaurants. It was too cold to use the pool and outdoor seating in April but it looked lovely. The exterior of the building was stunning.
