Loved the little terrace from our room ,listening to the water feature -lots of parking spots - enjoyed the warm spa/ swimming pool - the best beds and bedding i have seen so far!! - lovely breakfast- enough choice for everyone and loved the relaxing music played in the background - all staff were very welcoming and friendly

Due to heavy traffic (wating queues in the Mont Blanc tunnel in Italy), we arrived late. We informed the reception desk on our late arrival time (beyond the closing time of the restaurant), and 2 young gentlemen at the reception desk took care of providing a dinner in the room. Very nice service ! The room was modern, nice, and clean,. The beds were great, and the room had a nice terrace. We hope to have more time to enjoy the facilities of the hotel next time.

The location, amenities (swimming pool/jaccuzi/hamam), the breakfast was very good, the beds were comfortable, lots of cupboards and the staff at the restaurant was friendly. Excellent restaurant for dinner as well!

That we had to cross outside in swimming suit (in the snow) to go from the swimming pool to the sauna. A kettle and two cups in the room would be great.

I expected facilities like a sauna because I came on a ski trip. Swimming pool and Sauna was perfect! And It was also about 20 minutes away from the ski resorts, so accessibility was good.

I had an online meeting during stay, but it was uncomfortable because the Wi-Fi was disconnected often. The bedding looks clean, but it's just white I saw dust often

Auberge de l'Orangerie is in a great location if you need a stop immediately before or after the Mont Blanc Tunnel. The room was modern and the balcony much appreciated in August.

It was disappointing that the restaurant was not open in the height of summer when there would have been plenty of trade.

Auberge de l'Orangerie is a hidden gem in the French Alps! We stayed with friends over the New Year holidays. We were late with our booking to get anything decent closer to Chamonix, but honestly, it ended up being better this way as this place is simply amazing. We booked the family suite. It took a bit of research and a phone call to check whether the place was big enough for four as it is not apparent from the pictures and the description in some places reads as this being a studio. It is in fact a 2-bedroom apartment, with separate living room and a loft. It can easily accommodate 6 or even 7 people if one person doesn't mind sleeping on the couch. It also comes with fully kitted kitchen which was perfect for some light meals, breakfast, etc. - excellent way to save money as the area is not exactly the cheapest. What really sets this place apart, however, is the on-site Michelin Star restaurant, all run together with the hotel by the same family. We met a lovely lady in her late 50s - early 60s, who runs the place, her husband who is the renowned master chef in the kitchen, and I can assume some of their children at the reception and in the restaurant. They booked us a table for New Year and prepared for us the best dinner - from local farm ingredients, through game tasting and fresh truffle, to some excellent French white wine which was recommended to us after some careful consideration of our food order. Everything was cooked to perfection, tasted incredible, and was presented in impeccable style! At the end, we were treated to some free champagne and deserts. And the best surprise, after all this banquet, we paid a very reasonable bill which compared to any random restaurant in Western Europe - all for New Year, without any reservation fees, minimum orders and all that nonsense. Cannot give a higher recommendation!

Not exactly a negative as this is obviously factored in the price, but the place is some way out of Chamonix. You definitely need a car if you are staying there, but since we came by car from Italy, we really didn't mind the extra 30 mins to get to the resort. We were going in and out a couple of times a day and it really wasn't much of a hassle. The only thing which hopefully can be improved is the wifi in the rooms. In the suite, the signal was strong, but the connection was dreadfully slow and it even cut out for a few hours one morning. If you are not there to browse the internet, however (you shouldn't) and if you don't mind driving, then nothing can detract from the charm of this place and your overall enjoyment of the French Alps and these people's hospitality!

Property exceeded expectations. Large room, comfortable beds, comfortable bathroom. Balcony spacious and offering beautiful views to the mountains. Swimming pool clean, sauna with spectacular views; both available at times that suited us. Breakfast buffet excellent. Restaurant offering good quality food, including traditional fondue. Service very welcoming.

Room was very comfortable and clean. Facilities were very relaxing (pool and sauna). Restaurant was excellent, the ambience and the food. I would love to go again!
