Staff is nice and warm, and property is in the center which is perfect to walk around main places of interest. Was not too expensive for a hotel in the center as we got to the place last minute. We will gladly come back again.

We wished we had breakfast included in the price, but we could eat breakfast nearby. many places to eat at a cheaper price. The internet was not working well from our room, we had to get very close to our front door to have access, we told the hotel they got a technician, however difficult to access anyway.

We would recommend the Grand Hôtel Dauphiné in Toulon and will probably stay there again when we next visit the city. It is very centrally located in the old town and close to the train and bus station and the port. It is a small, friendly and welcoming hotel. A real bonus is the small pool on the roof terrace, which is above the 5th floor, with great views over Toulon and towards the port. Breakfast, which is comprehensive and very nice, is served on the top/5th floor. There is a narrow terrace outside the breakfast room so there is the option, subject to numbers, of sitting at a bar/table and having your coffee overlooking the rooftops of Toulon.

Our room, No. 410, had a great, king-sized bed but the room was small which made it difficult to work around our suitcases. However, in fairness to the hotel, we made a mistake in the booking, so they were expecting one person and not two.

Room excellent -Hotel ideally placed for visiting port and most parts of old town-Breakfast excellent -All staff were helpful and very pleasant I would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Toulon

Bit noisy outside early in the morning-Swimmng pool not as large as I expected

the staff was amazingly nice and so helpful ! the hotel is very well located and has pretty cool decorations ! The rooms had a nice space !

The walls are really really thin. We could hear everything (like someone yawning) from the room around us. if you are a light sleeper it can be a bit annoying.

It was easy booking from the beginning...the location was perfect. Lucien, Catje and Emilia were amazing members of staff...helpful and friendly

There was a bit of musty smell...maybe because of the carpet. I traveled with my kids, so dinner at a "bar-acwnw" by the pool didn't impress me much.

The rooftop pool was an amazing place to relax, swim and sun bath. The room was nice, good breakfast and very kind reception staff.

The only downside was a kind of plastic bed coverage under the bed sheets that was a bit uncomfortable while sleeping. Bed and sleep good otherwise (without it).

The hotel is nice, central, clean, modern and with a nice size bathroom !

We would have appreciated better storage possibilities: a bigger cupboard or drawers. We stayed 5 days and small shelves and hangers were not enough.

I loved the Sauna and took it twice, and it was immaculately clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful with directions, luggage drop, and allowing me to use the lounge while waiting for a late ferry crossing.

Good location because 5 minutes walking to the city center. There is a coin laundry in 3 minutes walking. Can go to Port within 10 min. walking. There is a bathtub in the room.

Nothing special either good or bad

Very friendly at reception in the evening, I arrived late and tired by motorcycle after a Corsican ferries fiasco. I emptied my luggage and took the bike to a secure private parking a couple of streets away but only a few minutes to walk back. The receptionist then ordered me in a take away pizza which arrived within 20 minutes...and was delicious so I shared a slice with him to say thanks ! The room was comfortable and large enough and breakfast was an all you can eat buffet. No complaints from me.

Having to park elsewhere due to the hotel being in a pedestrian area but I reckon that's how it is with central hotels. Anyway, the parking is virtually next door.
