We would have loved to stay longer in this fascinating 16th C property with its wealth of history and full of the Owners personal collections, in themselves a lifetime of memoirs. Our gracious hosts could not have been kinder, providing an expertly prepared 3 course meal with fresh local produce and regional wine, all served in the delightful garden setting. Breakfast was equally delicious with fresh fruit. We felt part of a famille. There was a garden pool, though we did not have time to use it. The room was furnished in traditional classic Provence style with antique furniture and a large bed draped with linen and mosquito net provided.

A small 17th-century farm with a unique character. The buildings have been beautifully and stylefully redone by an artistic hand and with an eye to details. Yet, they retain that very French touch of chosen imperfection, which I love a lot. The walls are breathing their age and the care that is taken to the place. Through the main door, you enter into a yard. There are several connected buildings. Some of them are inhabited by the owners, others accomodate guests or hosts artists and galleries. Martine, the host, and the lady who assisted her were very kind and welcoming, and super helpful with tips and ideas. Definitely a recommendation to go there!

A mas full of character dating from 16 th century - in which Martine has collected so many interesting and unique antiques and bric a brac. Our room was large and comfortable and the continental breakfast at a long table was more enjoyable than the usual separate tables. Martine is an enthusiastic hostess with many tales to tell. Will appeal to those looking for something out of the ordinary. The staff were very friendly.

This is a very old (16th century) French home with a large courtyard. If you like modern hotels this is not your place. If however you like history and character in your accommodations this this just might be for you. The hostess was excellent, but she only speaks French, so use a translator or learn a bit of French. It is very quiet and just a bit off a main road with plenty of parking in the back.

The pool, the breakfast, the lovely host that took extra care of us during our stay. The dog that lived there was very nice.

During our time, there was a lot of mosquitos that was troubling us.

loved the rambling collection of old buildings, the casual ambience, the outdoor breakfast, the pool, the welcoming hospitality

difficult to shower with only a hand- held shower head over the bath.

A wonderful reception in a 16th century farmhouse. The setting among olive and mulberry trees was perfect, and in particular the swimming pool that we had to ourselves in a late September heatwave.

very rustic hotel just outside Uzès. We stayed in the artist’s attic which had a lot of charm and amazing views. Clean and comfortable

As it’s just outside Uzès it’s not possible to walk into the town as the road has limited pavement facility

Martine, the owner and host was so warm and natural, she made us feel very welcome and at home. The accommodation is beautiful and unpretentious; we loved the stone staircase, terre cuite floors and custom made doors painted in natural colours. The courtyard was also charming with the sound of trickling water, wonderful collections of interesting objets in every nook and cranny and not a cobweb in sight! We would highly recommend Le Mas du Lac and will return if we can.
