Breakfast was outstanding! Totally worth the 12euro. Breakfast staff was also very nice and welcoming. Check in was easy. Everyone we encountered was very courteous. This location is a bit of a walk to center all want to visit. But that said, it’s a nice walk with shops and lots to see along the way. If you are in Bamberg because of the beer, you will find a great place across the street to get some local beer to take home. We found that to be a real plus.

Parking can be a little tricky. The parking garage is on the same side of the hotel but BEFORE the hotel. We pulled up to hotel to check in but then had to navigate around to park the car in the garage. I recommend that guests park their car first, then check in. It would save some time and a minor hassle.

The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is an easy walk from the train station and also to the old town of Bamberg. There was a good quality floor fan in the room--much appreciated.

The bathroom in our room was small--everything in excellent working condition, but very little space. Missed having a kettle and mini-fridge, but we knew in advance that the hotel did not provide them.

The breakfast was outstanding --a wonderful buffet exceeding our wildest expectations. Varied offerings to answer our American habits and European adventures.

Parking (paid) was very helpful, but limited to a few spaces. We were able to get a space on the street easily, though. A couple more pillows would have been a nice addition. Bathroom is very small, but worked fine. Room is small, but likewise we did fine. If I'd had to work, it might have been problematic. But all was forgiven when I walked into the breakfast room.

Clean, comfortable, easily reached by car and yet very central. Personell extremely friendly and helpful. Amazing how they built so much comfort into the tight spaces of those historic buildings and yet the atmosphere is great. Evening meal and breakfast were excellent.

Everybody was very friendly and helpful but they could relax a wee little bit ... There was nothing to dislike.

A great hotel run by a lovely friendly team of smiley and attentive staff. Comfortable bed. Amazing breakfast for 12.50 Euro. Glad we had a room facing the back overlooking the patio as it’s quieter and we slept well with windows open (no a/c). Had dinner here one evening which we enjoyed on the patio in summer. Very busy holiday weekend but staff coped admirably. Enjoyed the walk in/out of the old town (less than 10 mins). 10 mins walk from train station.

It’s a handsome old building on the outside but very little period character in the interior decor. Just a matter of taste I guess.

I stayed here four nights. The staff were constantly friendly and helpful and the breakfast was exceptional! I have stayed in many hotels all over the world and this rates as one of the very best. Highly recommended!

Nothing. Nada. Rien. Nichts. Everything was perfect. Normally, guests are very pushy and competitive at breakfast. The staff made the whole experience so relaxed. Nobody complained because there was nothing to complain about.

Wonderful, clean hotel which is situated ideally in Bamberg. It is situated just 10 minutes (walking) from the Main Train Station and near the city center for Bamberg. The staff makes this hotel really shine. I felt taken care of during my stay and would stay here again.

Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and beautifully presented. Location of hotel is very central to town and within walking distance of all the main attractions. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on our last evening and it was delicious. Very happy with our stay and would definitely return.

The hotel is nice, cosy and clean, the hotel cleaning lady even helped to fold our clothes which is really kind. About 10-15 minutes walk from the main train station. Front desk staff is very friendly.

Shower cubicle is small, small size people is ok. Would be nice if a kettle is provided for boiling hot water.
