Very spacious suit room with a separate room for kids. They have toys and books. Very beautiful area and surroundings. Forest, green, climbing place in the forest right behind the hotel. Comfortable parking. We arrived a little earlier checkin time. There is a phone on the door that you can call. A nice lady on the phone arrived in 5 min. Explained and showed everything. Breakfast place is super close. Nice walk of 3 min. In a beautiful place too, along a stream in the forestry area.

Could be nice to have a mini fridge. Also, in order to get to the bathroom you have to pass kids’ room. If they sleep well despite noises, then it’s doable. Otherwise, you’ll wake them up as the light switcher is also outside the bathroom.

This is an eclectic, unique, and amazing place to stay. Set at the end of a long winding road, heading up to a forest, it feels other-worldly. The facilities were great, the silence was perfect for a good night's sleep, and breakfast was superb! Highly recommended.

Not a complaint but the checking-in system is a little complicated for foreigners, as no one was there when we arrived the late evening and weirdly we couldn't make phone contact. Perhaps a bit of advice on Booking.com could help? Similarly, as the place is run without a reception, it would be very helpful to have a map in the hall to show directions for breakfast (it's in another building). We didn't mind exploring the beautiful area in our search but others might be pushed for time.

This is the second time I have stayed. * Great breakfast, served off-site in a restaurant a short walk away * King single bed & plenty of space in the room * Kitchen with free tea/coffee/sweets. Free water in the room

* Non-existence wifi coverage (despite network & password advertised in bold at the entrance)

Honestly, amazing location for price/quality, the residence was basic (not a hotel) but complete, clean, comfortable, quiet. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was good. Lovely location. Next time I pass the area I'll stay here again

A charming building, coffee making facilities and a newly renovated bathroom. Breakfast was served in a restaurant 200 meter away from the property

When we arrived it felt rather deserted. There is no lobby to welcome guests. Later in the evening we did see more guests at the property

The Abtei is beautiful located. The staff who let us in after normal check-in time was very very friendly.

We arrived very late, not knowing the Abtei is still ‘working’, so at 06:00 in the morning the church bells started to ring their long melody. Everybody’s day started by then ;)

A pity that this outstanding place is not accessible to all. Not equipped for people with disabilities or walking problems because of staircases and walking distance to breakfast area. Maybe a stair lift could help and a courtesy car could be booked for people in need.

Gorg spot in mountains just off the hiking trail Rheinsteig. Ez access, kitchen, walkable to caste and town for supplies. Breakfast was amazing- for for a king! Special building- church etc.

Lovely location, super clean room, a brand new renovated bathroom and amazing breakfast.

Would’ve liked an extra pillow personally, but I slept perfectly regardless.

The location! Wonderful hotel we stumbled upon (mea culpa - we were majorly lost....). Great staff, little English spoken, and lots of steps with no elevator.
