Beautiful castle with 24 hotel rooms. I booked 2 rooms, both were small, but comfortable, bathrooms were very small. Breakfast was decent, several choices and ability to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful sunshine. Views of the Rhine were phenomenal.

Check-in was a bit convoluted, you had to check in inside the little storefront. Parking was awful, if you didn't get into one of the 7 spots near the castle gate, you were walking 3km from parking at the bottom of the hill (and I was with mobility impaired family members). Reception did not return my dad's credit card upon check-in, the only way I knew they had it was when I called them to ask a question (they did not notify me). Only stairs, no elevator and rooms were on opposite sides of the castle, we adjusted, but it was a little difficult.

It is so well done, just a great addition and reconstruction - everything quality. The museum was amazing. You walk through the house of the family and the collection is huge and so "warm" (not cold and sterile like many museums), as are the various viewpoints of the Rhine. Also, very dog-friendly incl having a bed and bowl for our fur baby. Breakfast was good and the afternoon free coffee/cake/light snack was all great, as was dinner and wine (and fun to have a wine vending machine in case you need a late nightcap ;-))

A small point that they can easily rectify (and that we gave as feedback directly) is that you need to put the actual address of Burgweg 24 55413 Trechtingshausen into your Navi or phone. We just use our phone as the Navi and it came up with the parking below the Hotel. We could not figure out how to drive up to the door and when we called we got an answering system so we just hauled our bags up the hill, which made for a grumpy start that will be avoided by any reading this review and hopefully the hotel will make sure it is clearer on the website. Otherwise a really great stay. Ps. If you come with the train it is also an uphill walk with your luggage

We loved everything about our stay… The rooms were spacious, modern, and comfortable. The staff were consistently professional, helpful, and friendly. The castle grounds were beautiful. Breakfast and high tea were delicious, with a very generous selection. The location is excellent because it serves as a great launching off point for other adventures, though we were very happy to linger at Burg Reichenstein because it’s such a wonderfully inviting castle itself.

This was the rare experience in which there was nothing we didn’t like. All aspects of our time at Burg Reichenstein were resoundingly positive.

Such a beautiful place to stay on the Rhine! We were upgraded to a bigger room which was perfect. People mention the trains on the river side are loud but we didn't even notice them! Breakfast was delicious and the tour of the castle an added bonus. Lovely staff too.

Our room has about 12 power outlets but only one was able to be used! Not really anything wrong, just curious! A small refrigerator in the room would make it perfect.

A beautiful setting and a beautiful castle. Dinner on the terrace was a real highlight with a varied menu and superb flavours throughout. Friendly, professional service was yet another highlight as was the cleanliness throughout the hotel.

The temperature of the room was too warm for me, a fan was supplied but I didn't see it until the morning, making for a slightly uncomfortable night despite a very comfortable bed. As the bed is upstairs in the warmest part of the room, pointing out that a fan was available would have made a big difference!

We loved everything about our stay at Burg Reichenstein! Our room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and had a view of the castle ruins. The staff were very welcoming and polite. The location of the hotel is wonderful, situated right next to Burg Reichenstein, which was interesting to explore and romantic to walk around at night. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, as was the generous breakfast. If we ever get to go to Germany again, we will go back to Burg Reichenstein!

Hotel Burg Reichenstein is a bit pricey, but definitely worth the money. It is very romantic and beautiful with flowers all over the place. Great location overlooking the Rhine river. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast excellent. The hotel offered free tea and coffee with cakes in the afternoon. The staff was helpful in every way. The restaurant in the castle is excellent. It is definitely worth visiting the castle and museum of the property. All is very well preserved and restored.

This place has the atmosphere of a private resort. The reception staff were extremely helpful and even provided an electrical adapter when I realized I had left mine at my previous stop. The included breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious, with plentiful choices. We ate dinner at the Puricelli restaurant both nights, and the meals were exceptional. We took most of a day to explore the castle, and only left the property to hike the trail just behind the castle. I will recommend Burg Reichenstein to anyone traveling to this area.

There was nothing to complain about!

We honestly couldn't fault the hotel. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly; nothing was too much trouble for them. We were impressed with how they cared for our 6 month old son, and left out bowls and food for our dog. The value for money is fantastic- afternoon tea, breakfast and the entrance to the museum are all included- and all excellent, alongside a very comfortable and immaculate room. We very much enjoyed our stay, and will definitely be recommending to friends and family (and probably returning ourselves!).

Parking- not much of a 'car park'...but the fact that it's free is great!

This is lovely hotel set in a castle and totally refurbished in recent past. We had a lovely bedroom and bathroom, with a view over the Rhein. Our car was parked in the small car park, but more parking was available on the nearby street. Lovely breakfast and dinner, as well as a complimentary afternoon tea and coffee. As hotel guests, we also had free access to the castle museum and gardens, together with audio guide in English. Very friendly and helpful staff, some of whom spoke excellent English.

A bit noisy at times because of frequent trains passing along bank of Rhein, but ear plugs provided by the hotel did help with this. Perhaps bigger bath towels would be good and a choice of still or fizzy water in bedroom should be automatically awaiting guest on arrival, not just fizzy which not everyone likes.
