The hotel is in the city center. The bus station is just behind the hotel and the train station is just 2-3 minutes walk away. The markets, shops and restaurants are very close. We stayed in a studio. The room is very clean and large. It has a kitchen with a mini refrigerator and kitchen utensils. There is a table in the kitchen for dining. We cooked during our stay which was very convenient. The bathroom is also big. İt has hand soap, shower gel, hair dryer and very clean towels. There is housekeeping everyday.The beds are comfortable. The quilts and pillow covers are very clean. The heating is on as it is October, so the room is very warm. The hotel staff is very polite and helpful. The breakfast is perfect. You can find different types of bread, croissant, butter, different types of marmalade, honey, eggs cooked with different styles, ham, sausages, selamı, tomato, cucumber, pickles, yoghurt (plain and with fruits), various types of tea, coffee, fruit juice and salad, fresh fruits. I recommend this hotel to everyone who comes to Geilenkirchen.

There was a large variety of breakfast items that were well-presented and fresh. The restaurant was always very clean and bright and the staff was always cheerful and helpful. The hotel was located next to a very clean and safe train station. During our stay, we took day train trips to surrounding cities that were easy and safe. Multiple restaurants, shopping, etc. were within a 10-minute walk from the hotel. We arrived in Amsterdam, rented a car, and stayed at a couple of other hotels in Germany before our stay at the City Hotel, I wish we had not rented a car but had taken a train and saved a lot of money.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and there were several aspects that I appreciated. First and foremost, the location was fantastic. The hotel is centrally situated, making it easy to explore the city and visit various attractions. Being close to restaurants and shops was a big plus for me, as I could conveniently dine and shop nearby. Another notable feature was the room size. The rooms were surprisingly spacious, providing ample space to move around comfortably. This made the stay feel even more relaxed and enjoyable. The room's layout and design were thoughtfully done, creating a pleasant atmosphere.

One aspect that left something to be desired was the room view. Unfortunately, my room had a disappointing view, mainly facing an unattractive area or a wall. It would have been much more enjoyable if the view from the room was better, offering a glimpse of the city or something more scenic. Overall, I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, primarily due to its excellent location and spacious rooms. However, the room view was a minor letdown. If you don't mind the view from your room, this hotel is a great choice for its convenience and room size.

Nice spacious room with small kitchen area. Very friendly staff in reception and at breakfast. Breakfast, as ever, was very good. Good central location next to car park with plenty of local restaurants.

Only down side was lack of hot water on last morning but this was down to a technical problem for all of the hotel.

The location, smiling and professional staff, cleanliness, restaurant, in short everything was perfect. The location is 80 meters far away from the train station and bus station is just opposite of the street. when you enter the hotel, you are welcome by professional staff. The restaurant and bar on the ground floor is where you can find everything you need. They have room service and cleaning service on a daily basis, which is perfect. I strongly recommend. thank you for everything.

You'll never want to leave its embrace, For it truly is a place of grace.

Oh City Hotel, how I tried, To connect to your WiFi with pride. But alas, it was not meant to be, For the connection was weak, slow, and buggy. We tried every trick in the book, But to no avail, the signal took. A nosedive, leaving us in despair, Unable to send emails or browse with care. Oh City Hotel, how we mourn, For the WiFi that was born. With such high hopes and great promise, But now leaves us in a state of distress.

The hotel is located very close to the train station and also to the bus station. This is very convenient for travel to adjacent towns in Germany and across the border to the Netherlands too. The breakfast was very good, well presented and the staff were very nice people too.

I cannot think of a single negative.

Reception was very friendly and helpful. Room was a great size and the included fan in the room was a life saver! It is my first time ever having this option. The elevator in the main building is also a great convenience to have. Additionally, the hotel provided earplugs which is also a first and a welcome addition.

The bed was comfortable but the pillows were too soft for my personal liking.

The location and kind and courteous employees. Same goes for security and helpfulness of employees.

The TV never worked. The timing of stairs lights is short and could be dangerous for sudden darkness when it is turned off without preadvise.

Huge room, quiet (even though there was a street below...good windows). central location, close to some excellent restaurants. Next to the train station (never heard it). We really liked this place and was very comfortable. Reasonably priced. All kinds of snacks and drinks available for a price, nice they were in the room which we found convenient. We will definitely stay there again. Staff very nice and helpful.
