Very friendly staff, and a really nice room which was well thought out in its arrangement. I was there alone as a single person, so it was very comfortable. They have been around for years and their relationship to Documenta is well advertised throughout the hotel. The breakfast is a great value, good quality food, and I could make a little to go lunch to fuel me as a went to the exhibitions. Location is great as it’s right off the tram line direct from the Kassel Wilmersdorf station and the city center. A good value a good experience, no complaints.

Nice local hotel with parking. Staff was helpful. Location is near several grocery stores. The breakfast was reasonable in variety, though appears to be the same items every day.

There is noise from the adjacent Japanese restaurant that in summer lasts until past closing - 10 pm. Typical of German hotels, there is no a/c. The very large window does allow the room to cool off at night. Not sure if they allow smoking in the lobby/bar area, but that area stinks of cigarette smoke. Fortunately the odor does not carry into the breakfast room area.

It is a family run hotel with an atmosphere and very friendly staff. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. A great advantage is the parking in the courtyard of the hotel. In terms of price/quality ratio it is a good offer. A cheap breakfast is available. And it's in a good location - close to the tram, which takes you to both the city centre and Wilhemshöhe Park.

The hotel could tidy up some of the details and elements in the interior that don't look nice - the faded postcards on the staircase and photos of the staff might be better replaced. The same goes for small details in the garden such as chairs, ashtrays etc. As a rule, these are things that the staff and owners - if they are present in the space on a daily basis - no longer notice.

Comfortable and clean accommodation in the city. Plenty of parking when I arrived at 4:30pm. Best of all was the breakfast. Absolutely brilliant and just FIVE EUROS. It makes no sense but I totally loved it! I look forward to my next visit.

Only the noise of the bathroom fans. Someone left theirs on at about 2am and everyone else banged on the walls until they turned it off. Then we all got back to sleep. Serious design issue that needs to be fixed.

The staff was nice and very helpful. Location is great and just few minutes by Tram from the center of Kassel. Breakfast was excellent. Very clean and confortable rooms including beds. I would definitely book in this hotel when visiting Kassel next time.

No significant issues to dislike, but it would have been very useful to add extra electrical outlet (socket) for the electrical kettle near to the TV and another in the bathroom...

Visiting a city with a car is always a challenge when looking for inner-city accommodation, so this was a real bonus to have the car safely parked off the main road, in the hotel's own car park. A good 15-minute walk to the Hauptbahnhof in one direction and the same amount in the other direction to reach the inner-city, making it a perfect place for us. Friendly, efficient check-in, small but nice twin room served its purpose for our one night stay. The in-house restaurant was closed but there were numerous choices within minutes from the hotel. An absolute must is the Vietnamese restaurant right next door!! Absolutely fabulous food!! We were able to leave our car after checkout whilst exploring the inner-city by foot although the tram stop is also close by. A great find!!! We'll come again and stay longer next time.

Everyone was so kind and attentive at the hotel, the reception staff and the cleaners were so kind and polite and could offer fantastic recommendations for Kassel! The location was incredible, just a short walk into the city centre or hopping on a tram. The rooms are a perfect size for two, cleaned well and kind gifts are always left. Reception has anything that you might've missed when packing. When we return to Kassel, we will always book here :)

The only discrepancy was in the book it said if you were staying for more than two days then they could provide a laundry service, however when we went to ask how to access it we were told that they didn't provide that service :(

We enjoyed staying at the hotel, staff were friendly and helpful. The room is a bit dated but super clean and airy. Breakfast was very generous and tasty. Overall, we liked our stay and would come back.

Cigarette smell was noticeable in the reception area due to doors to the garden being open, only smelled this when we arrived in the afternoon/early evening but couldn't smell it in the morning during breakfast.

Friendly staff, comfortable bed, very good breakfast for a very reasonable price, clean room. It's about 20-25 minutes walking time from the city center. Nice outside terrace for breakfast. Overall is really great for an excellent price.

Rooms are not soundproof, we could hear neighbors having apparently a good time late night. No A/C, meaning quite warm during the warmest days. But it was still ok.

I'm a frequent traveler and I don't give a 10 easily, but this hotel definitely deserves it. Even though the hotel is a bit old, they keep it in great condition and the cleanliness is outstanding. Moreover, the breakfast is too good for its price. They have excellent customer service and little touches that make the stay enjoyable. I totally recommend it :)
