A short bus ride from Konstanz gets you to Dettingen. There are plenty of buses and the hotel gives you a free bus pass, although you don't know this till you get there, by which time you've probably already bought one. The room was fine, not much character, had TV but no access to English programs such as sky news. Clean and comfortable.

When I arrived the hotel door was locked. It said to ring the bell but there was no bell. I had to keep banging on the door. Eventually someone noticed me. It felt as if they had no idea they had a hotel guest coming; they were very focussed on the restaurant side of things. If the restaurant hadn't been opening that evening, there might have been no one around. How welcoming is that? Not.

A nice, spacious room with a sink. Tasty breakfast. The benefit was free tickets for buses around the area (Konstanz, Mainau Island).

The room had windows facing the street, so it sometimes disturbed the traffic from the street (cars, people talking). Breakfast 100 m from the hotel, bathroom and toilet in the corridor.

It was extremely tidy. Even though I had selected the shared bathroom option, it was always super tidy no matter what time I used the facilities. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant terrace was great.

The rooms were right next to a big road and traffic light. It was warm and so we had to sleep with open windows. The noise from the traffic was not pleasant

Friendly and helpful staff at check-in , at restaurant and at breakfast. Breakfast had good selections available for the whole family, also the Kegelbahn for free for guests which we had great fun using !

We had an topfloor bedroom was a bit warm and the small bathroom needs some better ventilation. But otherwise room was tidy and had lovely wooden furniture.

The place is really cozy and has a special village vibe. Everything is clean and employees are really friendly. Parking is free and we got free bus tickets for Konstanz and Mainau.

During the night, it was really cold. When we arrived in our room, window was open on the side, that was one of the reasons for coldness. The other is that is no heating system in the room, meaning non that we were aware of.

Very warm staff's. Inviting and very sweet. It was more of an invitation to their home than a Hotel. Will recommend this place to all our friends just for your efforts to assist us with more information for us to have a good time at your Hotel. You made our vacation wonderful!

The staff were supper friendly and kind. The breakfast was great. The room design was different, making you feel in a rural environment. I'll definitely follow this family business on the internet.

The location is too nice, but better to drive there by your car (as we did!), not by the public transportation.

I liked the family atmosphere, Moon and Alex have received me very well, excellent hosts! It is worth trying the formidable Wildgulasch! I recommend it is delicious

Great stopover on my bike trip to, and around Lake Konstanz. The check in was very smooth (just ring the bell), and they were very accommodating - allowing me to take my precious bike into the room with me. They even reserved me a spot for dinner at the neighbouring restaurant, very helpful!

Had a nice rooftop room. Very cosy and caban like. The location is ideal if you are travelling by car !
