Hotel Weisses Ross

it is a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere! we were worried we have made a mistake when we kept driving thru farm roads with tiny little villages and ended up in one of the smallest of all! but to our surprise we found a great place to rest and relax yet able to be in contact. great Wi-Fi! Excellent breakfast ! Freshly baked rolls, and awesome selection, didn’t know when to stop ! ☺️

we arrive on a holiday and unfortunately there was nothing to purchase as a snack or drink, maybe a vending machine would be a good addition? We had a great lunch and some water and snacks, so it was ok!

During our three days stay we were very pleased with everything, the rooms, the service and the staff. The staff is very friendly and ready to help you with anything. The rooms were quite spacious and very clean, plus they take really good care of the environment which was a huge plus. In particular I want to thank Ibi for his kindness he showed on our last night. It was quite late and we ordered from McDonalds as we just wanted to eat and go to bed. We made the order and the payment online through an app but the order never came even though we waited for more than 1 hour. We asked the reception if they can call them and check for our order. When Ibi understood that they were not going to bring us our delivery, he confronted the woman on the phone. Furthermore, he refused to let us go to bed without eating, so he himself made us an extraordinary dinner at 12:00 am. We were amazed by his kindness! Definitely going back there!

The main thing I have to say is that I would definitely stay in Weisses Ross again, and trust me I don't feel like this often. Yes, it is an old hotel, but it is charming and it's perfectly clean. It is also very quiet inside, but people in Memmingen wake up really early, so you may be surprised by the sounds of the street from 7:00-8:30:) It's not a problem though, after this time it is still quiet enough. The cleaning is indeed exceptional, I would say it is made with love for this place. The hospitality is also impressive, you may get any kind of advice or assistance. There is a Bavarian restaurant on-site which works till 22:00 and the breakfast is a good continental buffet with a touch of Bavarian taste. Altoghether, Weisses Ross is an example of how the 15th century building should be kept as a hotel in 21st.

Noisy neighbors on the first night, but of course it's not the hotels fault

The hotel is in the old building with the character. It is located right in the centre of Memmingen. The room is clean, the staff is nice, the breakfast is fabulous. The parking (hotel's private) is right around the corner and is inexpensive, which is very convenient.

1. Unfortunately, hotel with the character comes with the flip side: you enter the building and feel a smell of really old apartment and old furniture. 2. Wifi is open / not secure. For 2023 this is rather substandard.

The hotel is located in the town center. There is parking for 8 Euro per day. Our room looks totally renovated, and very clean. There is a small kettle with tea and coffee bags in the room. A minibar was also provided.

We booked a Quadruple room but got a room much much smaller. We didn`t argue with the receptionist since we stayed there for half a night only. But is still not OK. There is no safe in the room. We didn`t like the connection between the hotel and Memmingen airport. Actually, it is only a taxi, which costs 20Euro for a 4.5km drive.

Hotel Weisses Ross pleasantly surprised by high quality of service in the small town of Memmingen. The check in was quick, the room was spacious and well heated, and the breakfasts were delicious! Great location - everything is within walking distance. We especially want to note the staff from the reception - they acted promptly and professionally, when, due to a problem with a smell from the sewer that arose in the evening, we were immediately moved to a higher-class room. Thank you very much!

There are only two chairs in front of the recepetion where you can sit and chat. Maybe add a bigger lounge area with sofas.

The sound proofing from outside noise was not evident until I opened the window. Very good. There were interior noises as I would hear in other hotels so nothing special there. The breakfast was an exceptional value. It was near perfect but for the lack of vegetable options. The location was fairly easy to find and I was lucky enough to get a spot in the parking lot close to the hotel. The staff were attentive and I was able to communicate in English with ease. Bravo.

The only vegetable on offer at breakfast was sliced cucumber. A few slices of bell pepper would have gone a long way in terms of nutritional value. Perhaps a bit obvious for a downtown hotel in an old city, but there was no on-site parking at the hotel. I know that is not necessarily a fair comment but that is how far I need to go to find any serious fault with this establishment.

Location was very easy to reach from the city center and the train station as well. The area was very quiet and clean; also I would like to appreciate the performance of the staff : friendly, helpful, quiet on their duty, smiling . The room and blankets very clean..... Congratulation !

Because of the rain, during my walk in the park I expected to find a shoes shining (rolling brush machine), but anyway, the young lady at the reception has found a solution with a special package for cleaning shoes
