The food was amazing. Perfect meals everytime we ate there The sauna was great too It was a very nice and pleasant hotel, having a balcony is great, the breakfasts was included and very filling. I can recommend the hotel, it also feels very traditionally German which is nice.

I found it odd that on a Saturday night with a cut finger the reception couldn’t provide a Band-Aid and said they had no first aid kit. As you know in Germany, everything is closed from sat afternoon to Monday morning so I couldn’t even go somewhere to buy bandaids. I would have even repaid them the Band-Aid when I got some in a shop on Monday, but they said they couldn’t give me one. As we had booked a ten day stay I thought we might have got preference for a lakeside room, but we were not lucky in that respect.

Breakfast offered a great selection in a traditional German environment. The room was a good size and had a balcony big enough to sit on and you could see the lake. It had 2 great restaurants and a bar with a great atmosphere. Just out of the town, but great location to get to the ferry to Herren Chiemsee. Parking at the hotel was available and easy which is great after a long journey. The pool and jacuzzi were great facilities to have to relax and unwind.

When we hired the electric bikes it would have been good to have received a few instructions on how they worked before we left which reception had advised when we booked them , but not available on the day.

We liked the location, it’s right on the lake side and it’s possible to swim in the lake as well so that’s the plus point and staff was really good

I’m not sure why but the situation is horrible with the mosquitoes. They are big fat and bite like a crocodile. And they were torturing us and spoiled our plan to sit outside. Obviously we wanted to sit near the lake and enjoy the view while having beer but couldn’t happen due to mosquitoes. In fact we went inside during our breakfast as well

Direct access on to lake was amazing. Stunning. Well kept and clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Read reviews before coming and as a result decided to change to a lake view room rather than car park view for extra 30 euros. Worth it. It was modern and clean. It was quite warm, we asked for a fan at reception. No aircon. Breakfast v good

Would have been nice to have kettle / tea / coffee in room Food in restaurant was fine, but felt expensive and overpriced. As did the bar. Expensive G&T and tonic was out of a big Schwepps bottle... 3 euros for the tonic felt a bit of a p*ss take. Beer priced OK.

Breakfast - quantity and quality. Lake view from dining room. Friendly personnel. Everything was fine and very relaxed. Didn't have time to use the sauna, etc., but we plan to use the facilities during out next visit. The mediterranean restaurant also looks very good indeed.

The bar needs redecorating. The room is has the potential to be warm and cozy, but it's very COLD with lots of empty white surfaces. They need deco here; some rustic objects, a few photos or paintings and some rugs or blankets and dried flowers, etc. Items from a typical "bäuerliche Einrichtung". The are SO MANY places in the Chiemgau that sell antiques - why not get started? Also: Proprietors should actually USE the fireplace in the winter months instead of simply stacking wood in front of it. Remember: Guests like WARM rooms that make them feel "gemütlich". And if they feel at ease, they'll stay longer and buy more drinks. It's a win-win situation. No one wants to sit in a room with naked, white walls. AUF GEHT'S!!! :-) Das ist schnell geschafft!!!

The view and the comfort of the room. The spa facilities were good and the breakfast varied and plentiful. Very helpful staff.

Limited choice on evening menu, particularly if vegetarian. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Expected a bit more from a 4 star hotel and at the price.

Fantastic location, on the lake, with its own private marina and 10 drive min from the highway. Rooms are big and clean , nothing to complain. Nice spa with big enough indoor swiming pool. Good breakfast ( and available till 11am, good ideea). Bike rental service available at the hotel.

close to the port where the boats leave for the islands. nice pool, 2 restaurants on site. big rooms. friendly staff.

the grass by the lake is covered with duck and swan poop, I wanted to let my toddler run around there but had to stop her so she would not constantly step into it. also no lunch service in the restaurant for people wanting a la carte options, but staff very kindly let us feed my toddler from the full board buffet.

Very clean, nice restaurants, accessible location, beautiful views, very good massage - Jana is a treasure. And fantastic tea selection, that's really important to me and most expensive hotels choose the cheapest supermarket tea brands.

Carpets in the rooms. But it's just my problem since I'm allergic.

Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice and also had gluten free options. There was plenty of space too with the Blue restaurant utilised if it was busy in the main restaurant. Location was lovely with a great situation on the lake.

Lack of air conditioning on the rooms - the room was very warm at night, even with the window open. Room we had was quite noisy as it was located directly above the entrance to the hotel (non lake side) and this also meant some "traffic" noise with early morning deliveries.
