Lovely hotel in old castle buildings, with a very spacious and modern room still having the feel of a castle through exposed walls. Hotel has a sauna and swimming pool as well, and I was surprised to also see two separate tv/reading rooms for relaxing. Breakfast was lovely as well.

The only thing missing were curtains, so the room will have some light coming in - not too bad though but if you need full darkness that's difficult. Wasps are present in the forests around town, so depending on the time of year they'll be around during breakfast and dinner (anywhere in town so not something the hotel can do about - but they do fly into the breakfast room when doors are kept open).

the receptionist was helpful and kind. The sauna had robes and slippers as you had to take the lift. Breakfast was quiet... but good. Parking was inside the area conveniently.

The restaurant for dinner had very little patrons and we found out why--a rude waiter drove us to leave too. The rooms were cold, modern and blank but the view was lovely. We never got to see the castle. I would like to come back and see that.

A lovely hotel in an excellent location. We had a very nice room, on entering we had a wardrobe and settee and then a spiral staircase up to the next level where our comfortable bed was in a very large room with a good on-suite. The breakfast was good with lots of choice.

It was very hot in the room being up on the top floor, we opened the windows on a tilt but didn’t like to open them fully Incase a pigeon got in. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for the evening and we had hoped to eat in the hotel.

The location is gorgeous, and the service above and beyond expectation. Lovely people. Airconditioned (maisonette) rooms are beautiful.

Please verify with the property that the booked room has air-conditioning, if desired. Booking.com offers "airconditioned rooms" which may not be available. Property changed us to the required room.

The hotel is a little old-fashioned, but beautiful. The location is ideal, as we were right in the heart of the town. I really liked the reading/TV area too!

The hotel restaurant didn't have any options for children (apart from for breakfast)

The location is amazing and the ambiance is just wonderful. You feel like being in a real castle. The view from the room was amazing. All in all it was a great hotel and we had a wonderful time. The village was also really nice and great location to go cycling along the Lahn or canoening.

There was no airco in the room, only a fan, and our room was quit warm.

The hotel is originally a part of the Marburg castle. Although the general atmosphere is that of the castle, the rooms are modern and well equipped.

The receptionist was excellent, friendly, helpful. Dinner was excellent, very tasty, very fresh - salad with salmon and a duet of fish. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The swimming pool and area were clean and in good condition. We hope to return on future journeys.
