The hotel is very well located for visiting the town and the lovely park where Goethe's garden house is located. We were lucky it was Goethe's birthday, so venues were open, but beware, Monday is usually closed, including Buchenwald concentration camp, which was inspiring and informative. We received a really thorough tour in German by a man who was amazing in the amount of detail he provided. He didn't gloss over anything. It highlights how we need to value our democracies and keep radical elements out of government no matter what they promise. The breakfast at the Fuerstenhof was delicious, especially the fruit salad, yoghurt, the lovely cheeses and types of Wurst, the German bread, of course, and the damson jam. The coffee is very good too.
You need to watch out for a small step near the reception but you soon get used to that. Also get advice about crossing the street. Don't cross at the bend! Otherwise everything was great and we loved our two day stay in Weimar. We even fitted in a dance show at the theatre and a celebration for Goethe in the park where we met a lawyer from East Germany and her husband who was a teacher in West Germany. We had a very interesting conversation about the events of the past 30 years

There were a wide variety of items at the breakfast buffet for every taste. The location was just outside the historic district, but easily in walking distance to all local sights in Weimar. Some attractions such as the cemetery where Goethe is buried, is right next to the hotel. The train station is a bit of a hike, but no problem for anybody with two healthy legs. The room interior was nothing special, but fit for purpose for a 2-3 day stay.
There was really nothing to complain about.

Delightful hotel. Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, older style rooms as befitting an older style hotel. Great location, right next to the old cemetery, many restaurants, parks and museums.
I liked everything and would stay here again when in Weimar.

We were late arriving due to our travel plans. Their instructions for getting into the building worked perfectly! The room was really lovely and the breakfast was totally amazing! As was the coffee! Staff just brilliant and so helpful

I liked the breakfast and the value for money was excellent. Quiet and peaceful, you can always get champagne or beer in the bar))))) of course for an extra fee.

Very nice hotel, good breakfast, friendly staff! A few metres from city centre.
It's right by a main road. We stayed during a very hot weekend and had to sleep with closed windows because the noise from the street was too loud. I wish there was air-conditioning!

I was travelling with my son by walking. With Thule trolley. Hotel found storage for our trolley. We didn't have any problem with later check - in and later check - out. My son check - out ealier ( before 11 AM ) but hotel accept kept our trolley to 4 PM. There was normal but very tasty breakfast and VERY nice staff :)

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was in a nice location at the front of the hotel, and beautifully decorated. The beds were very good, also the breakfast.
Not that I can think of anything.
